Murder mysteries for 10yo

My 10 year old DD, who is autistic, currently has an obsession with murder mysteries but we are finding it hard to find suitable ones! She has watched Enola holmes and her favourites are death in paradise and beyond paradise that she watches on repeat.
are there any other shows that are around this theme but suitable for a 10yo?

Mine is 11
At that age we started watching Beyond Paradise like you say. Also Return to Paradise.
The Good Ship Murder.
And Death Valley
She's enjoyed all of those

LadyInRainbow · 25/07/2025 22:29

Secrets of sulphur springs, part murder mystery part sci fi.
Greenhouse academy isn’t quite what you asked for but good

TaupeMember · 25/07/2025 22:30

We're really enjoying death valley with our 9 and 10 year olds

RifRafia · 25/07/2025 22:30

My 12 year old DS loved Ludwig (on iPlayer) and also Death Valley

A good girls guide to murder on netflix is good and suitable

Oh yeah I didn't think of that
Good idea

Plantladylover · 25/07/2025 22:33

If she enjoyed DiP, then Poirot and Marple are the next obvious ones - I started watching the Joan Hickson and David Suchet versions at 10 and was completely hooked.

Shakespeare and Hathaway
Father Brown
Sister Boniface

These also might be appropriate

My teenage daughter and I loved the book, but were completely underwhelmed by the TV adaptation. I wouldn’t personally recommend for a 10yr old.

Plantladylover · 25/07/2025 22:35

marlow murder club? what i call a 'nice' murder drama

As you can see I'm a bit of a murder drama fan :)

Also all the back catalogue of Midsomer murders. the earlier ones are excellent

Oh me too! I remember Sunday nights watching Miss Marple-the joan hickson ones. one episode each week. No streaming in those days!

Jonathan Creek would fit the bill! There may not be a murder every episode but lots of mystery and age appropriate

purpleme12 · 25/07/2025 22:40

I'm sure my child would love Jonathan Creek

I really must watch it with her

QuietLifeNoDrama · 25/07/2025 22:42

Not a tv recommendation but if she likes reading the murder most unladylike series would be good

MerlinsButler · 25/07/2025 22:42

At that age I loved the Inspector Roderick Alleyn books by Ngaio Marsh. Though they may be a bit old fashioned but great stories. I then moved on to all of Agatha Christie.

I still love all crime / murder mystery now.

Cinnabonswirl · 25/07/2025 22:43

The residence? There’s a few references that might not be appropriate though.

’murder mystery’ I think there’s a murder mystery 2 as well

knives out

Jonathan creek?

Tiredtweenmum · 25/07/2025 22:46

Wow! Thank you so much. So many I hadn’t considered!
she has read all of the murder most unladylike series too :)

Not murders but both both of my DC loved The Inbestigators on Netflix.

Clawdy · 26/07/2025 07:51

Agatha Raisin is fun. And Madame Blanc, with Sally Lindsey.

Apricotily · 26/07/2025 22:59

Mcdonald & Dodds
Wycliffe

Chocolateisameal · 26/07/2025 23:01

Murder She Wrote is often quite fun, although maybe a bit dated for her age group.
