The Crown Aberfan episode

Bloody hell.

I know I’m late to the party, but I’ve just watched it. Never seen anything like it. So, so awful.

I love The Crown but deliberately skipped that episode. I knew it would be horrific to watch

My uncle, who just died, was part of the operation to remove the slurry…
I didn’t know until he passed.
I work in the area and it is commemorated every year.

The crown episode is excellent and very well done but this book was next level brilliance. I am not one of life's cryers but the beautiful, well written ending had me in absolute bits
