I’ve just put this on and it’s rubbish, I would be gutted if I’d paid for this in the West End. The girl playing young Anna is particularly bad. I loved the animation as well!

I don’t know which cast/show they filmed, but I did see it in the theatre, and whilst it wasn’t the best musical I’ve ever seen, that wasn’t down to the performances at all.

we (me, late teen dds and pre teen ds) all really enjoyed it. My eldest will probably watch again on Disney+

I’ve seen it at the theatre and it was fine. Not particularly good but not awful. I thought performances were perfectly decent, adult Elsa was very good but it was just more that the story/script wasn’t particularly my thing. DD was 6 at the time and loved it, which probably more the target market! The audience was a lot of young kids even with an evening performance, specifically mostly girls with mum. I can totally see how it wouldn’t translate that well to TV though and it’s not like Hamilton or something where there isn’t another version. You could watch the original movie instead if you were so inclined and it would undoubtedly better than the stage show when you’ve taken away the theatre atmosphere.

I do love the original film but I do love a good theatre musical as well so thought I’d give it a go I am really surprised that for a Disney production that it came across as looking quite cheap. Turned it off in the end

Funny because we put it on today and I really enjoyed it! Way more than I was expecting to

Strange ! I think we had high hopes

We saw it in the theatre and the special effects really made it. I wonder if that carries a lot less on screen as we’re used to seeing them on TV?

We saw it in London- I think it was Samantha Barks last show before maternity leave and really enjoyed it. DD wasn’t fussed about watching the recording.

Loved it in the West End, managed to catch it before it ended last year. I’ve put in my watchlist for Disney!
