Handmaid's Tale - Dark

Nothing about content or themes, but not being able to see what the hell is going on.
The last couple of episodes of S6 have been so dark I can't make out who's in the scene sometimes.
Anyone else?

So many programs like this - drives me mad.

i have to watch it in the dark to see anything!

I think a lot depends on your tv.

our tv is really shit at dark stuff, like you say i can barely see anything. Also the characters mumble quite a bit

I am currently watching HT on my iPad and the lighting is honestly so much better.

(It doesn’t fix the mumbling though)

I agree the mumbling is terrible. But really it is only June and seems like the Director (ie June herself) hasn't been challenged. And as for all the long lingering shots of her face.

I can hear Aunt Lydia.

And think Serena doesn't need to say anything as she conveys more than anyone what is happening through her face.

But the series is shit now anyway.

Only watching to see how they are going to bungle the end - as opposed to what was said had happened in the Testaments.

Have a play around with the settings on your tv. I discovered ours was on energy saving mode, which dimmed everything down (like when a laptop is on energy saver). I switched onto a different setting and it was a lot clearer whatever I was watching.

Yes. Can hardly see it, I had to pull all the blinds too just in case there was any daylight creeping into the screen. Also had to have the subtitles on due to the mumbling!! Feel old but pleased it's not just me!

I am having the same issue. Have to sit with the curtains drawn to have any hope of seeing anything!
