I've always loved Enid Blyton's books (don't judge me!) and the adaptation of MT has been really enjoyable.

Sad that it's the last series; but so glad we will have another series! I suppose you can only take it so far, unless you keep churning it over with brand new children all the time - which is a shame, when you've been following the familiar characters as they grow up.

They've already filmed series 7 apparently... they haven't followed the books in ages. They have the younger girls to concentrate on.

Ah, yes - the Pamela Cox books.

They've already deviated a lot from EB's actual stories - they do label them as 'based on' - but I think they've kept the tone very faithful, even with the different people writing the episodes and the other relatively minor changes that they've made.

Tho seems dramas are always based loosely on the books
they never keep the plots and things change

In yesterday's episode they mentioned Jo nearly being expelled. Can anyone remember why that was?

Where are the twins? They haven't been mentioned at all.
I wad hopeful they would do the Amanda swimming storyline but it looks like they won't.

Jo was threatened with expulsion because of the anonymous letters.

Gwen misunderstood Miss Grayling and somehow thought she was being given permission to expel Jo from MT - when she was only being given the choice as to whether or not she could keep working with her on the production.

I wish they'd invest in a few extras. It was ludicrous that, when there was a fire, only around ten girls and two staff members turned up to help.

And the concert when 2 parents show up... do the parents if tge other girls not care?

And the girls that just... disappear. And are never mentioned again, by their best friends...

I think they must be having a break like they did last year? It doesn't feel complete.

I hope so. I like it. When it does finish I hope they do St Clare's or The Naughtiest Girl in the School. Absolutely loved them as a kid. I loved the Enchanted Wood too, which is being made into a film.

I'm pretty sure there's more to come. They initially released only around 6 episodes, then they added what's there now. Someone made a comment about the sixth form staying at school over a holiday in order to revise, so I suspect there's going to be an episode around that.
