A programme called 999 hosted by Michael Burke. I remember the music used to absolutely petrify me and the recreations were terrifying but for some reason I religiously watched it every week.

Well I’m very ancient. So Watch with Mother around 1957- Picture Book, Bill and Ben, Andy Pandy, Rag,Tag & Bobtail, Woodentops.

The very earliest is Andy Pandy in black and white.

The Magic Roundabout. Hector's House. Crystal Tipps and Alistair. Mary, Mungo and Midge. The Herb Garden.

The earliest adult TV was Bless This House, The Onedin Line, Upstairs Downstairs, Poldark (the original one obvs) Charlie's Angels, Dallas, The Black and White Minstrel Show, The Liver Birds, On the Buses. World in Action, That's Life, The Val Doonican Show (in his rocking chair in a knitted sweater) The Rolf Harris Show, Opportunity Knocks and New Faces.

Orm and Cheap. The rat and the crow traumatised me for life…

It was a crazy comedy show. I think Goldie Hawn started out on it. About 1970.

Then early 70s, White Horses, Champion the Wonderhorse, Casey Jones, Belle & Sebastian.

Being terrified by Tales of the Unexpected, and also being scared by a programme with electricity pylons that made noises.
