My mum said
Sometimes he's just too daft to laugh at.

ninjahamster · 03/06/2025 23:03

Bod, Andy Pandy, Mr Benn, playschool…

And a tv news report where a man had got into a young girl’s bedroom whilst she slept and sexually assaulted and murdered her. I was about 4/5. Scared the life out of me.

BeNiceWhenItsFinished · 03/06/2025 23:05

The Woodentops
Bill & Ben
The Herbs
Hector's House
Champion the Wonder Horse
Camberwick Green
The Magic Roundabout
Tom & Jerry
Morecambe and Wise
Come Dancing
Val Doonican
Grandstand

Not necessarily in that order, and not necessarily my choice of programme.😂

BeNiceWhenItsFinished · 03/06/2025 23:08

Oh yes, and Jackanory, Playschool, and Blue Peter (the Valerie Singleton, John Noakes, Peter Purves days).

Luddite26 · 03/06/2025 23:12

Rhubarb, Mr Ben, Playaway with Floella and Brian Cant, doctor who with Sarah Jane Smith the Liverpool Birds, Robins Nest Open All Hours
Coronation Street Deidres affair with Mike Baldwin - god I loved him and wished he was my dad!
Then SOAP and Benson
Starsky and Hutch loved David Soul.

pinkglitter12 · 03/06/2025 23:19

Pob...he was my first crush and I would kiss the tv when he was on 😫

augustusglupe · 03/06/2025 23:33

I was born in ‘64, so Watch with Mother - Poggles Wood, Andy Pandy, Bizzy Lizzy, The Woodentops, The Herb Garden, Hectors house.

Adult tele - Laugh In.
My mum & dad and older sisters and brother loved it.
It was a crazy comedy show. I think Goldie Hawn started out on it. About 1970.

Then early 70s, White Horses, Champion the Wonderhorse, Casey Jones, Belle & Sebastian.

ilovepixie · 04/06/2025 00:28

Being terrified by Tales of the Unexpected, and also being scared by a programme with electricity pylons that made noises.
