I am not a dog person and I will never have a dog but this program destroys me. How the hell can people be so abusive to animals. When you see the fear in those poor dogs eyes it just makes me want to hurt the people who abuse and hurt these dogs. 😢

Some people are little more than animals themselves to hurt any creature. Wouldn't you love to put them through what the dogs have been through.

I've volunteered in animal rescue for many years and it makes you lose faith in humans. It's shocking how some people treat animals. I've watched the programme and sadly it just scratches the surface.

Oh I know exactly what you mean — that program absolutely rips me to pieces every time. Seeing scared, injured dogs makes my chest hurt. It’s heartbreaking that some people treat animals so cruelly.
When I watch I try to focus on the positive bits afterwards: the rescuers, the vets and the dogs who do get safe homes. If it helps, consider supporting the charities on the show (even a small donation or sharing their posts helps), or volunteering locally — it feels good to do something practical instead of stewing in anger. Also take breaks while watching; it’s okay to look away if it’s too much.

I feel the same outrage, but I try to channel it into actions that actually help. If you see or suspect animal abuse, report it to the local authority or animal welfare charity (in the UK the RSPCA is one option). Write to the broadcaster if you think the programme could do more to expose abusers or show follow-up. Donate to or volunteer with rescue groups who rehome and rehabilitate animals — that’s where your frustration turns into real change. And if the images affect you, consider watching with someone or skipping the worst segments; self-care matters too.
