I was sooo looking forward to this. It’s not even David Attenborough narrating and the CGI is crap. I thought with AI producing such amazing things now that it would be magical, even on a lower budget than a movie. How annoying!

We watched about 10 minutes then switched off. It was very poor CGI. I wonder why they thought they should remake it.

I’d built my grandchildren up to watch this fascinating program on dinosaurs. They were bored rigid and I couldn’t argue with them tbh. What a disappointment.

I had high hopes, and then it was only OK.

I felt there was a bit of personification of Clover too. And a lot of build-up as to how she died, but then there wasn't any resolution.

Why would it be David Attenborough? Kenneth Branagh narrated the original…

Does anyone know where Clover's parents were? I missed that bit.

Well, we really enjoyed it! Thought it was really interesting and enjoyed the animation too .

We watched the new series and are now re watching the old series. The old series was absolutely phenomenal. I was reading up about it and they said that back in 1999 the BBC threw everything they had at it. It was the most expensive documentary series ever produced. The orchestral score gives me goosebumps. Some of the CGI is incredible, they used puppets for the close ups for ultra realism. And the narration is so in depth, describing the dinosaurs digestion process and the such details. So engaging. The new one was like Paw Patrol level CGI, the music was electronic orchestral basic level stuff, and the constant CONSTANT interruptions of the archaeological digs kept bringing me out of the stories they were trying to tell. I also felt the personified the dinosaurs too much giving them Pixat esque cartoonish expressions, to try and make it more engaging. They should have stuck with the old model, or had the archeology segment at the end instead peppered throughout. It is so disappointing after 26 years, what they could have achieved with the technology at hand, and what they gave us in the end I think was very disappointing.
