What has happened to Masterchef 2025?

Apologies if this has been covered already. I know Greg Wallace got fired, but I thought Grace Dent was going to be co- presenting this years show. Any news?

It’s filmed but they are holding back on releasing it while investigation still ongoing - they were filming it back when GW was exposed and Anna Hawes ? came in to fill his spot.

I think professionals is done, with Mon and Marcus as it was on his insta a few weeks ago.
I did hear the public one was being re-edited to cut GW out, didn't know Anna was replacing him.

Professional Masterchef finished airing even after the allegations came out. They had just finished filming regular around then and have so far held off on airing. There was talk of editing but it could prove too difficult to do as GW presence is most obvious in the regular one. Grace is doing Celeb. I don't know, but I think that has begun filming. Of the 3 Celeb usually airs last though.

Ah ok, thanks for the update. I thought Grace Dent was doing the “ civilian” one, it’s the only one I’m into. Probably need to settle in for quite a wait then 😔.

MC back on BBC1 and iplayer on 6 August, presumably the normal one with Jonty and Greggggggg filmed last year

Yes I heard it on the news, they said they are going to downplay the presenters ( Wallace and Torrode) and highlight the contestants.

And I've just read Matt Tebbut is confirmed as the new MC host going forward.

I like Matt on SK, but I always watch it on catch-up so FF quite a lot. Andi is good on GBM so leave her there.

I applaud the decision to go ahead with broadcasting this year’s show, as it would have been terribly unfair to the contestants otherwise. But I do hope that GW’s victims have been offered appropriate support and also that they were told sensitively of the decision before the announcement was made to the general public.
