Does anyone remember this series?

I’m racking my brains trying to remember what this was called. The scanty details I remember - uk tv series, a group of friends have a party in a house the night before it’s due to be flooded as part of a reservoir, maybe in Wales? A murder happens or maybe it’s an accident and it would be covered up by the flood. I thought Andrew Lincoln was in it but I can’t see it on IMDB. Probably late 90’s/ 2010’s

Don’t know but you’ve just reminded me of This Life with Andrew Lincoln. Sorry not helpful but struggling to find something to watch and wish there were series around like that nowadays.

Was it a Ruth Rendell adaptation?

It does ring a bell. Off to Google.

Tales of The Unexpected?

Notreallyawaitress · 23/05/2025 21:19

I think it was a series rather than a one off drama like Tales of the unexpected but I could be wrong!

I found something called A Likeness in Stone, if it's that it looks good

NewAgeNewMe · 23/05/2025 21:20

Sounds like a dalziel & pascoe sort of thing

Notreallyawaitress · 23/05/2025 21:24

@BobnLen that’s it!! So I was totally wrong about it being a series 🤣
Thank you so much!

A Fatal Inversion perhaps? Based on a Barbara Vine book (which was a pseudonym of Ruth Rendells!)

It reminds me of an adaption of the Alan banks books there’s was definitely one about a flooded village/reservoir

BobnLen · 23/05/2025 21:27

But is it on anywhere, it looks really good. I want to watch it now
