ITV's new Daytime schedule

GMB: 6AM - 9.30AM (or 10AM when Lorraine isn't on)
LORRAINE: 9.30 - 10AM (for 30 weeks per year, I'm assuming term time)
THIS MORNING: 10AM - 12.30PM
LOOSE WOMEN: 12.30PM - 1.30PM (30 weeks per year, again, term time?)

Also, when Lorraine is on air, she alone will host the show, so there'll be no more Ranveer /Christine stand ins. I think that the twitter account 'where is lorraine' is entirely to blame for that one.

Well no one likes Lorraine so she’s hardly going to be missed

The only time I like the show is when Ranveer and Christine stand in

Lorraine is dreadful. I’ve seen her ‘interview’ people where she just talks at them, doesn’t let them speak. She’s not that great at presenting either. No great loss.

Interesting that scheduling is running on 30 weeks out of 52, presumably term time like you say. I’m surprised that makes such a difference to viewers.

So what will be on instead of Loose Women outside of the 30 weeks?

They'll probably replace Loose Women with horse racing. The women's football is on next year (not sure whether it's world cup or Euros) so that could also be playing a part.

If they're extending GMB to 10 when Lorraine isn't on they don't need to find anything to put on in its place.

I guess it’s been brewing for a while as it was announced a few months ago that episodes of Corrie and Emmerdale are going to be cut from next January. But this still doesn’t add up. ITV are instead going to invest in more drama’s but they’re very expensive to make.

Loose Women is awful so that's no great loss. I remember it being good when it started but it descended in trash.

I kind of think that the attacks on Lorraine are misogynistic 😐😒

I know she's not popular but I do think that removing women from itv daytime is a bad idea

Same with loose women, one of the few places you'd see women over 40 having an opinion on tv 🤷

The dramas aren't even that great 😄

I don't mind the soap hour, as corrie is on a bit long at an hour a time

So it's ee, emmerdale and then corrie mon - Thurs

I prefer the programme on BBC to Lorraine, maybe it gets more viewers so that is why Lorraine has been cut and I only like Loose Women when Janet and Jane are on so that means they will probably get rid of them

I like Lorraine, she’s really nice, down to earth and gets on well with everyone. It’s also good to hear a Scottish voice on TV. I like when Ranvir stands in too.

Sounds like a lot of redundancies will be on the cards with this as the 3 teams running GMB, This Morning and Loose Women will be amalgamated into one team. I wonder will they end up running “the best of…” style shows of Loose women in the, what, 22 weeks it’s not on air?
