Sky Q down, and digital spy forum

Well after watching husband cussing and trying to get sky going without success he went to bed. I had the idea to check digital spy forum thinking someone clever would have advice. They were down too. Still are in fact.

Luckily up popped the news that sky Q was down all over the place.

I went to bed to watch netflix.

What annoyed me was the deafening silence from sky help team. Twitter was as usual raging

Glad you’ve posted this op as I couldn’t work out why the TV wasn’t working! Have changed the batteries in the remote and everything!

Blimey and us! Never considered it might be a bigger issue!

My Sky Q has been working fine all afternoon and still is. Is the problem in specific areas?

Edit: it was however playing silly buggers last night but that appeared to be app related and refreshing my Sky Q TV apps and rebooting my Sky Q box sorted it out.

Crikey still?? It happened to us about 9:30pm last night, I haven't had the TV on since as I've been at work. Bloody hell why don't they just out an announcement out on social media to explain.

We rebooted several times last night, didnt help.

Mine too. I didn’t realise it was a bigger issue. Quite relieved actually, that I don’t need an engineer.

I wish I had checked Twitter last night, I plugged and unplugged about 10 times, did a full system re-boot and it still kept logging out, stayed up way past my bedtime trying to fix it!

Not tried today as at work, how ridiculous for them not to put some sort of message out!

Mine chucked it last night for no apparent reason. Good to know it wasn’t my box though if it’s widespread.

Yeah ours also crashed last night, it's been OK today though. However, now the Tescos app has crashed 😒

Bugger that's annoying.

What annoyed someone was they assumed the Q box was kaput so ordered a new one. They can't get hold of sky to cancel it.

SKY Q is still down for some and has crashed again today for others. So be prepared to get booted off again.

I must have jinxed myself as mine has just died right now. Aargh! Trying a reboot again but while waiting I saw this article:

I rebooted mine (after disconnecting the power cable for a few mins) and it seems to be working normally again, even the apps. Fingers crossed it stays this way.

I had this last night - re-booted sky box was fine then happend twice more and I eventually gave up - I was watching netflicks though sky box and wasn't sure if it was what I was watching, the app or the box.

It seemed to keep playing the app but couldn't see it on TV - only thing that was working was re-booting sky box then finding the episode had kept playing for a bit.

I'll go and read the article now.

Mine was exactly the same except I was watching Prime through Sky. It’s been working fine since I rebooted tonight though so looking promising this time.

It was reported on Radio 2 news this morning.

Sky crashed two or three times towards the end of the Eurovision Semfinal last night. It was a relief to know it wasn’t my box. The box needed unplugging this evening before I could get it working today.

My sky was a bit wonky last night but I just gave up and went to netflix on the tv. I didn't even think of looking in my usual place https://downdetector.co.uk/ which is handy for all sorts!
