I've taken up colouring, no judgement please. Yes I am an adult but I love it and it's done wonders for my mental health. Whilst I'm colouring I like to have a series on my tablet at my desk. So far I've watched-
Modern family
New Girl
Brooklyn 99
The big bang theory
Young Sheldon
Working moms
Shameless USA
Schitts creek
Ted lasso
Orange is the new black (not as easy watching but I'd already seen it before so easy to follow)
Basically easy watching, I was thinking of trying It's always sunny in Philadelphia or Arrested Development if anyone has seen either of those? Also open to other suggestions as I need a list! There's probably loads more that I've seen and forgotten about I have basically every streaming service available.

Definitely Derry Girls.

Or go old school with Peep Show, the IT Crowd or Flight of the Conchords.

Nothing like the series you mention, but it is the definition of an 'easy' watch.

I haven't done adult colouring for many, many years, but I do cross stitch and petit point tapestry and think that they are similar in terms of needing to look down rather than at the TV/tablet and the level of concentration needed. I definitely give a third vote to Dectectorists which is my go to series when I'm not in the mood for anything new.
But in the main, and I'm going to go completely off piste here, I really enjoy long running slightly old fashioned shows, especially detectives. Most recently I have watched Endeavour, all the way through, and a couple of years ago I really enjoyed The Good Wife. At the end of tennis season I think I might give This is Us a go. I think it's all about having something that is dialogue driven with the same characters and story arc for week after week after week.
If I don't like This is Us, I might go back to The West Wing!

Changing Ends - It's a comedy, on itvx. It's based on Alan Carr's experiences growing up in the 80s.

The Change
Extraordinary
This Way Up
The Four Seasons
Somebody, Somewhere

It's Always sunny in Philadelphia is great! It's addictive (as long as you don't mind the irreverence). Takes a bit to get used to the shoutiness, but it's genius

ExquisiteSocialSkills · 16/05/2025 11:56

Another vote for

Four Seasons
IT Crowd
Flight of the Conchords
Detectorists

Handbagcuriosity · 16/05/2025 11:56

I loved it’s always Sunny in Philadelphia! @Fatbride

Also love colouring and colourful jigsaws!

Sunny is not to everyone’s taste as the characters are essential selfish and awful human beings with un-politically correct views but therein lies the dark humour. And Danny DeVito is both gross and hilarious

Also love Kath and Kim, ridiculous Australian humour but easy to watch

Absolutely fabulous is another favourite of mine

I like to go even further back for a comfort watch. To The Manor Born is a lovely wallow in nostalgia.
