As the title says. (Only should be think 🙄 can’t change). I don’t care what anyone says the Chaser’s questions are always easier. Especially when there’s a large amount of money at stake.

Yeah I do

Haven't watched it in a while actually but usually have it on during dd's dinner

Like, there's always a question relating to the contestants job. And some of the questions just seem easier for the chasers. also, brad asks the chaser's questions faster during the final chase

I don't know if its me getting older but I just see the 'production' of TV shows a whole lot more

Happyeachday · 14/05/2025 19:40

Ive not seen it in years as i dont own a tv.
But when at a friends place once i thought the same as well as tipping point looks all fixed.
I never liked any game shows as i think there all fixed in some way and most of the jokes are not funny i just cringe at it all.
I really dont like any of the chasers.

I don't like when it's for charity and the chasers get easy questions :/

Tarkan · 16/05/2025 00:23

I was on it and there were two sets of questions and we picked a letter out of a bag to select the set we had so the choice was random and done by us. There’s an independent adjudicator and they take their job VERY seriously. We had to refilm part of ours because Bradley accepted an answer he shouldn’t have for a question, since it was the second question of our final chase we had to go back to the start and I had to answer exactly how I had for the first question then we had a new question for the second one.

I've also been on it and as well as the strict rules as detailed by Tarkan, I think you're also underestimating how flustered the contestants can get - the chasers are used to the whole thing and so are more natural. They make it look easy - far easier than it actually is!

Oh totally. I got to my cash builder, Brad stood in front of me and my brain went “that’s Bradley Walsh, what on Earth are you doing?” and I basically forgot everything I knew. For someone who sat at home easily getting 8-10 right in the cash builder I only got 2 when I was there.

The angle of the set is really imposing as well, I didn’t realise how high up the Chaser felt until I was standing there. And it’s very easy to say “go high” at home but when you’re there, it feels like real money and it’s suddenly a whole lot scarier. I really could have done with a bottle of wine between the sections of filming compared to the bottle of water we got. 😁

They also diddle the contestants by wasting time saying their names before they answer.

not sure how tipping point can be fixed though?!

Waiterose · 16/05/2025 00:39

Also, the contestants have to win the money three times over which really winds me up!

But that's compensated for by the extra points they get to start off the final chase.

Interesting to know.

I always seem to answer more of the Chaser's questions than the team's but it must just be a coincidence then.
