The Assembly - my TOP TV recommendation for 2025!!

This is the most wholesome programme you will watch this year. The pilot was on BBC 1 last year and was fabulous. Michael Sheen was the first to take part in The Assembly- a chat show with a difference. Watch it here (29 minutes long)

Loved the Danny Dyer episode, great show. The singer was fantastic. Heartwarming tv.

I’ve been looking for a thread on this. I cried all the way through the Danny dyer one. He came across so well and moved by the whole experience.

One of my favourite bits was when he led a meditation session. I’d listen to that again.

And yes the singer from yesterday was amazing. Something extraordinary.

David Tennant was so humble and genuine. This show will win every award going hopefully. The interviewers were amazing.

I've always thought he was a bit of a prat but he was wonderful and treated those people with such respect and was so kind and engaged

I am absolutely obsessed with Danny Dyer.You should hear him on how to fail with Elizabeth Day, he has lived a life and was close to Pinter. He was amazing on the Assembly. As for interviewers, my heart was bursting.

I loved all three so much, it’s a shame bbc didn’t continue with it after the pilot as felt that the Michael Sheen one packed more in without the ad break.

I thought all three actors were so genuine, and seemed to really appreciate answering different questions to the those they are usually asked. The interviewers were just brilliant.

I really hope this takes off and renews for another series, looking forward to the next two.

I love this show - but as a life long Gary Linekar fan I was a bit disappointed with his episode. He didn’t seem to engage as well as the other guests
