I totally binged this and I loved it. I wasn't expecting to either.

Has anyone started or watched it yet?

Yes, I binged it over 2 nights and really enjoyed it, though it dragged a bit towards the end. Michelle Williams and Jenny Slate were SO good, but I'm not a massive fan of Rob Delaney.

I am on the fence if I felt bad for him or not at the end because their relationship was so wild.

i do like Rob Delaney

HelenWheels · 12/04/2025 11:39

the telegraph review says there is too much sex

westisbest1982 · 12/04/2025 11:41

It was OK, nothing amazing. There was great acting from Michelle Williams and Jenny Slate. Thought the sex scenes were pretty dull and coyly depicted.

Tholeonagain · 12/04/2025 14:29

I loved it and cried a lot at the last episode

I didn’t think there was much sex in it considering the title 😂

I really enjoyed it if that’s the right word. I lost a parent to cancer and ugly cried at the end. I do like Rob Delaney as well.

BatteryPoweredPeacock · 13/04/2025 09:48

I have watched this over the last 3 nights and adored it. I thought it was funny, sad, thought provoking and the acting was excellent. A brilliant, brilliant programme.

Lovewine1975 · 13/04/2025 16:33

Finished it about 20 mins ago and still crying, it was just brilliant

CoffeeandWalnuts · 14/04/2025 08:40

I really enjoyed it, I like Rob Delaney. Her ex was a bit of an annoying knob, but thought he was quite understanding of her decision and didn't give her any agro over it really, just quickly moved on.

As a woman of a similar age, it's definitely opened my eyes, didn't realise I was such a prude and I could really relate to how she felt about life.

Her friend was amazing, there are not many friendships like that one, very special.

Wallabyone · 14/04/2025 11:33

I really loved it, also sobbed at the end. I thought the acting by the two main characters was excellent-their relationship was heartwarming. I really like Rob Delaney and thought he played the role well. So sad 😢

madameimadam · 16/04/2025 00:56

Just finished the last episode and spent most of it ugly crying.

Not what I expected at all. I think if you’ve ever been with someone you love in their last few days, it’s very very moving.

I read about the woman this is based on - so emotional. Didn’t it start as a podcast?.

HelenWheels · 16/04/2025 09:49

i didnt cry
i did wonder about Rob Delaney,
in catastrophe it was very sex orientated

and he also lost a child to cancer

amazing he could cope with this, but he also must wonder why he gets these sex parts! of which he is pretty good though

KiIIingMeDeftly · 16/04/2025 10:00

I feel he essentially comes across as the same character in everything he's in!

NoviceVillager · 16/04/2025 18:43

Omg this is brilliant. I’m not sure what I expected but it’s so much richer and funnier.

HermioneWeasley · 27/04/2025 19:33

I thought this was beautiful. Stunning performances from all the cast but Michelle Williams in particular

wishIwasonaBeach · 07/05/2025 14:23

Just finished wiping the tears - wanted to see what everyone else thought.

I just loved it!!!
