Does anyone else remember this from many years ago? It used to make me cry loads. Rob Brydon plays Keith, he’s the only cast member and each programme is a monologue of him talking to camera from his car about his ex wife Marion, her partner Geoff and his children. Just found out it’s on iPlayer.

Never seen it, but it’s on my watchlist.

I love it - I have it on DVD.

Loved this. It was so very clever - so many things unsaid that told you so much about his situation

First time i saw him was in this when originally on

He's just a very violent child 🤣🤣

I’ve watched all of the first series again today. It’s an absolute masterpiece of understated humour and sorrow. Rob Brydon is such a good actor.

I watched quite a few episodes after reading Rob Bryson’s autobiography earlier this year. I’d never heard of it until then - great pathos.

I was going through a phase of autobiographies & looked up Alison Steadman’s older work - also watched a really weird show; Nighty Night with Julia Davis & Ruth Jones - missed that first time around too. I’ve been busy catching up on the Gavin & Stacey cast’s prior work! 🫣

Fat Friends is on Netflix, I’ve just started that. They’re all so young!

I loved it. Watched it when it first came out.

I read the thread title and instantly thought 'little smashers' 😀
RB vanishes into the same gentle character in ensemble pieces and it's not immediately obvious that he's a genius who can co-write and carry a series like this, just monologues in a car.

I loved it. It shows just how talented Rob Brydon is - it’s easy to underestimate him.
