Can’t find a thread on this, I’ve tried and have been scrolling though. Has anyone see Fear with Martin Compston? I’ve just finished it tonight and really enjoyed it.
Anyone else?

I have one more episode to go. Really enjoying it. It got some shitty reviews but I’m glad I gave it a go.

I enjoyed it alot. Glad it was only 3 episodes, I think any more would have dragged a bit

The ending made me feel quite sad for the man living downstairs

I was underwhelmed as I love Martin Compston. Really disliked his character, smarmy lying snob!

Lovewine1975 · 20/03/2025 21:40

I watched it and thought it didn’t deserve all the bad reviews, loved the house!

Boredofbeinganadult · 20/03/2025 21:50

Has anyone seen him in our house? That’s really good with him in it as well

I've watched it! I liked the creepy feeling of it all. I live in Scotland (not Glasgow) and have a soft spot for Glasgow West End as DD goes to UoG. Still I thought the house was way too big for a family of 4 and not something I would have chosen and the garden was totally crap and shared! For what that house would have cost, I would want my own garden with patio doors open straight onto it, not being a floor up. DH and I were laughing at how many times Martyn went down to the neighbour's in a total rage. Then did other things in a total rage like sack the lawyer. More than the whole creepy neighbour thing though, I enjoyed the family dynamics of Martyn's dysfunctional family. I didn't like the landlord / dry cleaner guy. He knew all about Jan's past (there was that whole conversation of "it's happening again") and he pretended he didn't know what Martyn was talking about. He could have helped. Does anyone know the story of that house? It looks like it's probably up for sale to someone who can afford a complete reno.
