I really enjoyed this Netflix show. I think most of the topics are simple, inexpensive , healthy and look delicious. It is aspirational but not unobtainable.Meghan is natural and friendly. For some reason whatever she does she gets a really hard time from the British MSM and women journalists who are particularly nasty. I’m unsure why they hate her so much, what has she done that’s so terrible? I hope she ignores the haters and continues with her positive projects.

I agree. Just watched the first one. I missed what herbs she put in the pasta dish but I hadn't thought how nice you can make a simple veggie pasta dish look. Also, I don't really eat pasta often and didn't take it seriously when people said keeping the starch was good. I will try that.

I also think I will make myself a big jar of bath salts. I liked the teabag idea for the herbs.

I loved it too. It lifted my mood today. I'm fed up of the doom and gloom in the world and her show offered great escapism. Montecito is absolutely beautiful. Whatever the critics say at the end of the day she will be sipping on a glass of wine barefoot in her gorgeous garden.

I found it really calming.

I was ready to give this is miss but you all have persuaded me to watch this tomorrow, i really need something calming right now

I think it improves through the series. I found the episode with Mindy Kaling a bit much as it felt like more celebrity/fan at some points than friends, but I liked the one with her friend Delfi, more relaxed by far.
I think the idea than anyone can do little things like this a bit insensitive at the moment but it's a bit of fun for people who do have the time, nothing wrong with that.

I'm enjoying it but some of it is so far from real life. The manuka honey stick in the kids gift bag made me almost spit my tea out, can you imagine giving kids that as they leave a party, Where's the haribo?!

I liked it. It was silly in lots of ways but looked very pretty, just easy viewing.

Ribenaberry12 · 06/03/2025 20:06

I thought it was very gentle and calming. I’d had a really shit day at work and I found myself going to bed feeling quite chill after watching it. Yeah, I’m never going to cook spaghetti in a white linen shirt but I thought it was sweet.

I enjoyed it too and glad to see some positive comments on it. Whatever people's views of MM it must be utterly soul destroying to have such almost universally negative reviews - and most of the reviews I've seen have a really unpleasant level of sneer/mocking that just seem like bullying and quite a lot of misogyny as well - there are some male hosts with pretty dire personalities who I can't imagine would ever get this level of judgment.

I enjoyed the escapism, thd lovely house and views, meghan's beautiful clothes/style, and as someone who can't really cook and is not very creative thought some of the tips were actually quite useful for hosting - particularly liked the charcuterie board and the mini fruit rainbows (and dare I say it - the party bags...). I know it's not life changing or interesting for everyone, but not everything on TV (or most things...) need to be.

flowerrrrpoweerr · 06/03/2025 21:21

I haven't watched it yet but I bet it's shot beautifully and M is an incredibly attractive woman, I imagine it's like flicking through a glossy magazine and escaping real life for a few minutes and I am down for that!

Haters gotta hate. All the truly appalling men out there right now, grimly taking what they can and somehow MM is heralded as the figure of hate!?! Mind boggling. I hope she's protected somewhat from it and her children too.

PalmTreeAngel · 24/03/2025 13:44

I’m enjoying this!!

DramaDog · 24/03/2025 13:49

I finished the series over the weekend and I really enjoyed it. Meghan looked beautiful, lovely surroundings, Guy the dog, just lovely viewing and would recommend.

NetZeroZealot · 25/03/2025 22:45

I don’t hate her but I couldn’t get further than halfway through the 2nd episode.
it was all so saccharine and cringe.
Maybe I’ll give it another go.
