Has anyone else watched all episodes.

If so wondered what you thought?

I am used to tv series messing around with characters etc., so wasn't too upset that it took a few liberties.

Overall I thought it worked quite well, and somehow took on the tone or whatever it would be called of so many classic Agatha Chritie tv series or films.

Lots of lovely scenery, clothes style I would never have thought I would like.

Thought most of the cast were good and thought that Matthew Rhys again showed how versitile he is.

Watched the first ep last night - anyone else totally put off by the lip fillers?!

I liked this. I've never ever read an Agatha Christie book, never watched Miss Marple or Poirot (came across to me as cosy mysteries, Midsomer Murders in the 30s) and only seen two TV adaptations that I also knew nothing about beforehand so I had no expectations and approached it simply as a period drama. I loved the scenery and the fashions. I've downloaded the book now. So as for being slow, I don't think it was. The Treves character explained that beforehand!

One of my first outings with then DP (ie thirty years ago) I dragged DH to what see to what turned out to be a truely dreadful amateur production to towards zero because I loved the book

DH quite rated the production on its own merits while I felt a bit lost trying to find the parts of the book I loved.

maybe that’s why they mess around with the original. Sigh

It sounds awful but looks/attitude wise this doesn't work for me.

Audrey is too made up & confident.

Kay doesn't seem to have anything going for her-looks or personality!
(I blame the make up for the looks!)

Yes, the make up is awful, on both women. They've made Kay look too modern with her deep tan, false eyelashes and big lips. That's what many young women look like now and seems anachronistic.
