Anyone watch this? I know there are fan threads of Forgotten.

I was surprised at how tenuous the evidence was that lead to, not only getting it to Court, but also to a conviction. In his case completely the right outcome. The initial police investigating seemed useless - fixating on the wrong suspect (an axe wielding maniac robber who left the victim's jewellry), not listening to witnesses who saw Carol (the wife) alive after the 'green car' had left, immediately discounting the witness who saw (the husband) Allen's car when he was supposed to be in the cinema, not looking into his suspicious reactions, actions and lies after the murder and for destroying all physical evidence since. I was also curious about how little the children came into it. They were his alibi - I thought the Police might requestion them. It appeared that he and his new wife Margaret took them even though they weren't biologically his. I wondered if they were still in his life or in contact with Carol's family. I really felt for them and, obviously, for Carol.

Felt to me as though large areas of the investigation had been left out, perhaps to protect the families and the children. On the basis of what was revealed in the two episodes just couldn't see how a guilty verdict was reached. Thought it was v interesting to see again just how much evidence was collected and collated in paper and put on index cards. How storing data digitally must assist and speed up investigations today. And what dedication and persistence officers must have had to plough through the paper trails in the past to get cases to a stage where they could be prosecuted.
