What sad news. She died of cancer on his 65th birthday.

I think she was music director at the Globe theatre. He was there for a long time. Was she married previously? I think she had a daughter who died at quite a young age.

She was also the music arranger and advisor for the Tudor music in Wolf Hall.

Yes, she died aged 28 and Mark Rylance pulled out of a reading (?) during the opening Olympic ceremony due to this, it was right before I think. They were together a very long time so he was their (her and her sister) step father from when they were very young.

This is such sad news. Thinking of Mark Rylance and family.
She was an amazing and talented woman.

It's very sad for her family. I liked the fact though that the headlines I read mentioned her name, rather than his.
