MerryChristmasYaFilthyAnimals · 20/12/2024 19:29

Also enjoyed it, although eyerolled some of it. Especially the ending. But a good watch to pass some time.

Soubriquet · 20/12/2024 19:33

Yeah. A good watch. I’m now watching the more realistic The Impossible

I'm halfway through it and enjoying it, will finish the rest on the plane tomorrow.

The volcano erupt a few years ago on La Palma though didn't it?

Roseeverything · 22/12/2024 23:54

I really liked it but 100% agree about the ending!!! Really really silly

OnTheBoardwalk · 30/12/2024 17:24

Just watched it. I enjoyed it and it was well made

well until the end, agree it was just silly

i wouldn’t let it put off anyone else to watch it though

Noshowlomo · 30/12/2024 17:26

Why the f didn’t that air plane take off for a start!?

Lincslady53 · 04/01/2025 18:03

Just watching it. Why have they got the geography of Tenerife all wrong?

cstaff · 04/01/2025 18:05

I watched and enjoyed until the end when they all lived happily ever after. A bit over the top.

Why the f didn’t that air plane take off for a start!?

Because there was a crack which appeared in the runway!

Because there was a crack which appeared in the runway!

Ahhhhh I missed that!

itsgettingweird · 05/01/2025 20:40

I watched it. Mainly for interest because I lived in Tenerife and ds was born there. We were always told about the earthquake and us being drowned if it happened.

It was basically the predictions/ old wives tail out into a film.

Not particularly realistic but easy watch to kill a few hours.

Plus I loved right by La Caleta so I may have been safe 😉

OnTheBoardwalk · 05/01/2025 20:42

The crack wasn’t there though surely when they were faffing about letting people run out of the queue and even off the plane!

Piggywaspushed · 05/01/2025 20:45

The crack appeared as they were taxiing. The pilot said. We couldn't have heroic bear drowning and miraculous CPR without this plot twist!

Piggywaspushed · 05/01/2025 20:46

Bear ??? I meant NEAR!

Doors247 · 05/01/2025 23:09

I really liked it, yea I know the last 5 mins were abit ummmm.
But as these types of films/series go this was probably one of the better ones.

Iloveagoodnap · 05/01/2025 23:24

Well I like a happy ending so I was pleased the family were reunited. But yes, the aeroplane bit was very unrealistic. Would she not have woken up under water if she survived the initial wave? I felt there was very little actual tsunami action for a show that was advertised as being about escaping a tsunami. But I did really enjoy it.
