I think it's because they can't wash their clothes properly or have a decent wash/shower in cold water?

Then the constant smokey smell from the fire?

That's my thoughts though. May be wrong.

I think it would take more soap than they they have to do a good wash while wearing a swimsuit in a cold shower post fish gut task. And no deodorant. I bet they all pong.

I know this is from the Scum, but Rev Richard is no pauper. He's making a mint out of his reality tv appearances & fair play to him, he's value for the money he's paid, likeable with a good back story & interesting anecdotes. His HIV lies were awful, but they don't define him as the person he is now.

Probably the nicest and most equitable camp ever, once they got rid of drama queen Dean, but I'm Coleen for the win. I like her a lot. She's consistently judged because of who she's married to and because she chooses to stay with him. I've really enjoyed seeing her accepted in the camp for herself. She's completely embraced the experience and shown herself to be a decent, solid, person

I'd like the Rev or Danny to win. I like Oti and Colleen well enough (though I think Colleen has been very guarded) however the winner needs to have character (otherwise the crowning etc feels a bit awkward/anticlimactic).

Yes Richard’s HIV lie was a long time ago, but I don’t think people who remember it should be told to ‘grow up’ It was five years he lied for, liking the attention and ‘dark glamour’ which I’ve always though a sick thing to do over something that terrorised big proportions of the world, most especially the gay community. I don’t agree with the church’s rules either, so I’m not a member, let alone an employee and far from dismissing these things as irrelevant today, I do think they show the innate character of the man. I don’t believe a lot of his anecdotes. I think he embroiders a lot for attention again and don’t find him trustworthy.

All the finalists are lovely but if I had to choose someone to take the crown it would be Rev.

I find it hard to believe that they don’t have deodorant when they clearly have makeup and Alan mentioned that there were razors! Rev’s brother said he smelled smoky, so I think it’s a combination of that and not being able to properly wash their clothes.

I am sure there was a scene at the dunny with GK putting deoderant on.

we do see GK putting deodorant on but they dont wash their clothes with daz as far as i can see

Yes. Since Oti has been immune I’ve voted Colleen as I’m really liking her. But I think I’ll vote Oti to win. They are both fabulous women though. I don’t dislike the Rev but I think in person he might be an inadvertent attention hog. He has loads of mad stories and likes to expound on them. Danny is like any other rock guy. Seems nice but not enough for me to want to vote him to win.

Agree with Oti for the win, glad GK went I noted her mum saying you and the Rev should do a travel journey together … that’s a big hint to the producers
I’m guessing will probably get a TV show out of this , there was something pushy about her and her mum but her and Rev will probably be in our screens very soon. More celebrities touring round lovely places for free and telling us all how wonderful it is 🙄

I don’t think Rev should win, can’t really decide out of the others, my gut says I want Colleen to win I think

Even if they wash their clothes, I can't see how they could iron them. And none of them are wearing creased clothes. I reckon they get given new clothes every so often and definitely after trials.

I guess there must be somewhere they can just pick up new clothes for themselves

It's been raining so much that they definitely need quite a few changes of clothes plus the tasks etc and general sweating

Colleen is just brilliant and I knew barely anything about her other than her school photo in uniform, scandal and wagatha Christie nonsense with that awful RV woman who's vile

I don't really like raking up peoples past when it was decades ago and they've moved on because they're learning and moving on and living their lives

Yeah the rain hasn't stopped for a minute hardly. If it had been gloriously sunny and hot for the whole 3 weeks, they'd have been able to wash their clothes properly (and they'd have dried quickly - and well.) Also, they could have showered in cold water comfortably, and dried off their body and hair quickly. I think the horrific weather/constant driving rain is one of the main reasons they all smell bad!

Aww sorry to see Alan go but as it's final 6 I am not surprised as never had him down as the winner.

I really like Colleen and would be delighted to see her crowned queen of the jungle.

Not sure why bringing up Waynes historic shitty behaviour should impact this either. I rather admire her for sticking with him, and get why she has. I also think he knows what he has and fully values and appreciates her and thanks his lucky stars she stayed with him.

I did stupid things in my younger years and would hate for it to be defining me now in my 5th decade. People fuck up - sometimes more than once - but people also grow and learn...

I remember the year with that ghastly RV and I kept thinking of the women I had encountered when I was younger who were exactly like her. Bullies, self-serving, manipulative and toxic. The total opposite of Colleen.
