'Joy' Film on Netflix

Just watched this. It was excellent and so poignant at the end. I have listened to some podcasts that said how good it was. Glad I watched it and have seen how amazing our scientists can be in changing medicine and the lives of so many through IVF.

Anyone else seen it?

I'm loved jt. Although I read some people who knew Jean are not happy about how she's portrayed.

Sorry cut me off too soon. Basically saying she was a devout Christian and she didn't have casual sex with colleagues

Best thing I have seen in some time. Really enjoyed it.

Enjoyed it at the time and I do understand that dramatisation can mean - literally in this case - sexing up source material but I was disappointed to see how they embroidered Jean's story unnecessarily, got basics wrong eg you can't diagnose such damage from a pelvic exam and omitted the fact that a woman funded their work- it was apparently an American millionairess who underwrote their work. So it's a 6/10 from me.
