Beth is series 5… is it actually Beth? The credits say it is her. But her hair , how she looks is complete different. They series 6 she’s back to old Beth. I can’t see it being due to Covid , as the hair do she has required a hair dresser.

Very confused and wondering if there’s an easy explanation everyone else knows 😂

Are you sure you mean Beth? She's never been particularly glamorous in it. Cathy is the glamorous one and she wasn't in series 5 but was back for series 6. Her husband had another love interest in series 5 - perhaps you mean her and Cathy not being the same person?

There was definitely a whole series where Beth had a bouffant as opposed to darker, straight hair.

I suspect Arabella Weir may have also been doing another role elsewhere which would account for the wig but I don't know for sure. Plus why wouldn't they giver her a wug of the usual style. Who knows!
I'm so sad there will be no more episodes. I loved the series and felt there was a lot left for the characters to explore. The Christmas episodes were so cosy. Christine buying the toasties in the coffee shop and the beautiful log cabin in the Highlands.
