Discovered recently and love it!

No spoilers from me, it's brilliant, as are the books. Worth the apple subscription every time a new season starts.

I read the books before the TV series came out, fabulous books. I didn't think the screen would do them justice but it really works.

I got the Apple TV month freebie to watch the Peter Capaldi police drama, Criminal Record, and stayed for Slow Horses. So enjoyable.

Gary Oldman and Kristin Scott Thomas in particular are brilliant and even the theme song, composed and sung by Mick Jagger, is great. It's one of the few opening sequences that I don't skip.
i plan to buy all the books.

Also jealous you're coming to it for the first time. I've only read the first book so considering bingeing the rest over Xmas

I did exactly the same re the subscription! My friend had been telling me how brilliant Oldman was in it, so I risked forgetting to cancel yet another subscription. 😅

And I drove my teen crazy singing along in my Mick Jagger voice. 😂

They'll have season 5 out in the new year and plan one more season I read.

Be sure to watch Bad Sisters if you can fit it in too. Series one was so addictive. Claes Bang was incredibly, brilliantly awful. 😂

The audio books are some of the best I've ever listened to, I went through the entire series between seasons 3 and 4 being shown on TV and will no doubt do so again at some point.

This is the reason I regret not being able to justify yet another subscription!

Jack Lowden 😍

It is a fantastic series. Can’t say a bad thing about it.

Fun fact - I used to live in a tiny cottage at the top of a hill in the Borders. Turns out Jack Lowden was growing up at the village at the bottom of the hill!

Also a recent find for me and I’m now channelling Jackson Lamb at work as much as possible.

I love the characters but found the plots a bit ridiculous as the series went on.

Ahhh that’s so funny! I also have a Jack Lowden claim to fame! I’ve done his mum’s hair a couple of times (used to work at a salon in the Borders). Scotland is a small place 😅

I had. A little bit of a thing for River until DS said doesn't he look like my Uncle Gull (my BIL) now all I can see is him it very much ruined the moment 🙈

Totally agree - I have been binge watching myself. The dialogue is amazing - characters are brilliantly un-likeable (except you do of course like them).
