Was anyone there on Saturday...?

I'm intrigued to know when the Pet Shop Boys opening number was filmed. It had a full audience, all the pro dancers and contestants, and was clearly in the ballroom.
I know all the other big pro routines are pre-recorded in the summer, but this one must have been done over the weekend? But not 'live' at the start of the show, as many of the dancers had vastly different hair and make up for the actual show.

Do they do it on Sat afternoon? But they usually have a full schedule on Sat anyway, so how would they fit it in? Or Friday night? And then where does the audience come from?

Does anyone have the low down on how they do it?!

That part was on the thread about Leandro and Maria - who op referred to as "randos" in the title, "putting the pros to shame". Someone had commented on when it was filmed, and that was the response.
