DH & I have caught up on Greys Anatomy & are looking for another series to watch together. DH doesn’t like psychological thrillers & neither of us are horror fans. Any suggestions?

Rivals seems very popular, I haven't watched it yet but I'm hoping to start it next week.

Dithercats · 09/11/2024 20:33

I just started the resident which has been fun so far

tennissquare · 09/11/2024 20:35

Rivals!! Best series on tv at the moment.
The Americans is my favourite show ever, I watched 6 series in 2 weeks during the pandemic

MermaidEyes · 09/11/2024 20:42

Yes Rivals! It's brilliant! I've just finished The Burning Girls on Netflix which is good too.

Newuser75 · 09/11/2024 21:06

Station 19 is canny enough.

ItsJustASimpleLine · 09/11/2024 21:24

Doctor Odyssey
Starstruck (Bbc)
Ludwig (Bbc)
Only Murders in the Building

Dottiespotty · 09/11/2024 21:27

rivals

I love a good series so here's a list of some I've enjoyed that hopefully fall into the right category. Station 19 and private practice are made by/spin offs of greys.
Disney
Station 19
Private practice
Desperate housewives
Devious maids
911
Walking dead
Once upon a time (cheese. We really enjoyed it as a family)
Ugly betty

The killing
Homeland

Netflix
Top boy (I couldn't get into it but DP loved it and he doesn't normally get in to anything)
The crown
Lucifer
Taboo
Peaky blinders
The Witcher
Unforgotten
Queens gambit (DP also got into this)

The good wife (paramount but defo worth the subscription and while you're there Yellowstone)

nomeslice · 09/11/2024 21:50

The Bear (Disney)
the Diplomat (Netflix)

RabbitsRock · 09/11/2024 22:33

Watched a few episodes of Station 19 but found it a bit samey. DH & I really enjoyed Queens Gambit & have watched The Crown. We love Greys Anatomy so will give Private Practice a try.

They're nothing alike. I'm a huge Greys fan. Hated PP - in fact I never finished it

911 is good
If youre a Greys fan I'd try S19 a bit longer it's got a few crossover characters
Bones
Castle
Code Black is another hospital based one. It's very under rated
Body of Proof is another good one

CallMeCrazyButIDontLikeStoreBoughtPesto · 09/11/2024 22:49

Station19 took me a whole series to get into.

Private practice was great for me but is more for a female audience than mixed, I'd say.

It's nowhere near as good as the crown but there is a series called Victoria on Netflix. I recently started it and it was ok.

Wishihadanalgorithm · 09/11/2024 23:03

I like New Amsterdam on Netflix and Lucifer is a bit of a giggle.

BlueRaincoat1 · 09/11/2024 23:16

The Diplomat on Netflix is two.short seasons and ia really fun and good, I really recommend it.

Pinkruler · 09/11/2024 23:20

Inventing Anna on Netflix. Funny, entertaining and not depressing.

SheilaFentiman · 09/11/2024 23:29

I would definitely keep going with station 19, the characters mature and Miranda Bailey shows up sometimes, And you get the back story for Prue.

SheilaFentiman · 09/11/2024 23:31

Otherwise:
Brooklyn 99
Any of the Marvel TV series - Hawkeye doesn’t require too much MCU knowledge
New Amsterdam is ridiculous but entertaining
The Diplomat is very good
The Lincoln Lawyer

SkaterGrrrrl · 09/11/2024 23:33

Nobody Wants This on Netflix - bingeable romantic comedy
