dP thought that woman who could change very quickly would be useful on a night out

misdee · 26/04/2008 21:46

Yucky 'come back a comedian' kid. His mum was so proud- I'd lock him up til he was 35.

TurkeyLurkey · 26/04/2008 21:49

What did you think of breakdancing kid for the sob story moment at the end?.

I thought he seemed better last year to be honest. Cute face though.

misdee · 26/04/2008 21:50

i think breakdancing kid has got a lot of ambition. i think he'll make it anyway eventually.

i am beginning the dreaded sob-story last bits though tbh.

I loved the Michael Jackson dancers too, when that older guy ripped his coat off and launched into the Bangra dance, that was priceless. Me and DH were thinking that the comedian kid was rather camp for an eight year old- I loved him, he'll be in Coronation St in 10 years time playing an Antony Cotton type character I say.

blinkingthreetimes · 26/04/2008 21:52

I liked the guys who sang crowded house and breakdancing kid

Couldn't stand the pretentious kid who came back as a comedian

TurkeyLurkey · 26/04/2008 21:52

I know Misdee, the sentimental Westlife music starts and you just know whats going to be coming...I agree with you, he seems to have some raw determination though the breakdancing boy.

notnowbernard · 26/04/2008 21:53

Thought Piers Morgan trying to get all rhythmic with the Michael Jackson dancer was both hysterical and mortifying in equal measure

misdee · 26/04/2008 21:54

how old was breakdancing kid? about 13? and he was putting himself out on the streets everyweeek to perform? that takes guts and determination at that age. dancing is a lot of hardwork and training/practising.

blinkingthreetimes · 26/04/2008 22:02

He was 14

KaSo · 26/04/2008 22:15

That Godawful comedian kid! Talk about precocious little brat that needs taking in hand. I liked the 2 supermarket managers, but generally this week was a crap week for talent.

NutterlyUts · 26/04/2008 22:43

michael jackson dancer - Can't stop watching it

unknownrebelbang · 26/04/2008 22:46

Piers doesn't come across very well does he?

Liked the supermarket managers, and thought the Michael Jackson dancers were brill.

Freckle · 26/04/2008 23:16

Piers Morgan has the sense of rhythm of a hiccoughing rhino with St. Vitas Dance. How did they choose the judges? The only thing he knows about talent is how to destroy those that have it in the newspapers.

And that 8yo "comedian" was cringeworthy.

That breakdancing kid is my next door neighbour. He's 14, in year 10 at the local secondary. The boy's fantastically talented, as well as being a thoroughly decent human being

Oblomov · 27/04/2008 22:20

I like it. I caught a bit of it last week, and most of this week.
So how many episodes have I missed ?

TillyScoutsmum · 27/04/2008 22:25

I think this week was only the 3rd one..

I just love Ant & Dec - I'm so sad but I just sit giggling at their little antics all the way through

Freckle · 28/04/2008 12:44

They had the 8yo "comedian" on This Morning today (home with sick child so caught this piece). He was even worse and he seems to think he is so great - he was still convinced the panel were wrong about his singing, which was dire.

kayzisexpecting · 28/04/2008 12:47

I loved the Michael Jackson dancers. They were fab!!!!

The "Comedian" is so bloody cheesy!!

bobsyouruncle · 28/04/2008 12:51

Oh I come over all giggly at Ant & Dec too drives dh nuts

PenelopePitstops · 28/04/2008 13:03

I always see the breakdancing kid in manchester at the weekend dancing, he is truly amazing!

wannaBe · 28/04/2008 13:06

the breakdancing kid definitely has guts and determination. He didn't fall at the first hurdle - he came back to try again, so hats off to him. And he wants to do it to give his family a better future, I think that's admirable in such a young kid.

8 yo "commedian" was awful.

and the "quick change" act woman couldn't sing and still can't seem to see it.

bluesky · 28/04/2008 14:36

i thought the breakdancing boy was great.

my two boys watch this and I really hope someone like him or the two martial arts guys win. Someone who can show what hard work and determination can do.

Nothing against singers, but it would be nice if a non-singer won!
