I am a skeptic, but I don’t really know how to explain the multiple (23?) witnesses that ‘saw’ her being abducted.

The whole thing is just bizarre.

I'm watching it right now (came on to see if anyone had started a thread), I'm about half way through the second episode.

My personal opinion? I think it's a load of old bollocks. Apparently these 23 so called witnesses are all a bit camera shy. More disturbingly, it's becoming apparent that there seems to have been a lot of manipulation of her son, almost like a sort of Munchausen's.

I'm not convinced about hypnosis bringing out the "truth" even if the person is genuinely under. Who knows if they are "remembering" or just dreaming or being manipulated by the hypnotist?

Absolutely agree about her son, I think what happened with him was he was so exposed to this bullshit at such a young age that he actually believed it and started having dreams about it. Was totally expecting him to come on and say it was all rubbish so I was surprised at his interview.

You're obviously not following the discussions in Congress in US regarding UAP! If you were following it you wouldn't be as dismissive I don't think.

As I said, I’m a skeptic but I am not closed minded, happy to have my skepticism challenged with reputable sources!

I'm not saying that UAP/UFOs don't exist, they obviously do, in the sense that people see phenomena that can't be easily explained. However that doesn't mean there aren't more mundane explanations than extra-terrestrial beings. A few hundred years ago no-one understood electricity but look where we are now.

At the same time, I don't necessarily think we are "Alone in the Universe" the Universe is vast so the chances that conditions for some sort of life to evolve don't exist somewhere in all that vastness is improbable. I just don't think that it's reached Earth, but I'm open to being proved wrong.

That said, even if ETs exist and they're here, I still think Linda is full of shit.

Why was the thing in her nose not investigated more thoroughly? Is it still there??

I think the point the filmmaker made was that these 'witnesses' were never actually investigated/confirmed
The 'two agents' who witnessed it were only ever seen by Linda.
I think she is a total fantasist. She was a very attractive woman when younger and i think he was very taken with her and wanted to believe and justify everything she was saying.

I just watched this on Netflix and came to see what people’s thoughts were. I felt a lot was left out and after some digging came across this on YouTube which goes into a lot more detail. Sounds beyond far fetched and ludicrous. If Linda concocted the whole thing, she was either fame hungry or loony!

Thanks, I hate it when things aren't followed up, also not many people coming forward from the 23 who (supposedly) saw it. Wow, Linda showed a 'Don't mess with me' mean side on the last episode! Would like to have seen more about the Budds relationship...

There was massive chunks left out of this series. Apparently a big part of the book ‘Witnessed’ written by Budds went on to describe this whole relationship between Dan/Richard/Linda. Countless letters sent from both the men who were obsessed with Linda. Then it all emerged Richard and Linda had been abducted and travelled to the spaceship together since childhood and suddenly remembered. And that all 3 had met the aliens. Richard and Linda has some out of space affair and Linda thought he was the father of her child Johnny.
Dan ended up in a mental asylum and disappeared.
The whole thing got more and more ridiculous! 😂

I think it was purposely excluded as it just got more and more bizarre! Linda referred herself to ‘The lady of the sands’ and there was talks of half-breeds, telepathy and all sorts going on 🤣
