Did anyone see this last night?

Poor Amys' parents, she described them as not at all intellectual and was scarily dismissive of her long suffering Mother. They didn't seem to get much joy from having such a child, and she was not a very joyful child despite all her achievements. Her smile was so cold when she picked up award after award.

As for Michael - well, where do I start? The poor sister feeling like she had to start writing a novel at 6.

I know, I watched it with ds (13) and was hugely glad he has no discernible talents!

Amy and her parents just didn't seem to like each other at all. I felt sorry for Dante, who seems to be a bit of a fish out of water, poor kid.

Michael, on the other hand, seems q. well adjusted, prob. as his parents seem quite intellectual.

On the whole, though, I just thought, poor buggers.
