I enjoy a bit of escapist historical fiction, especially with a nod to mythology - and I like the way this has been done. The cast are all great except the main character! I don't know how Iain De Caestecker got this role, he's giving it all the emotional depth & complexity of a part-baked potato. The others are trying really hard to act for him, but it doesn't bloody work because he's the fulcrum of nearly every scene.
I'm halfway through the first series, and might have to give up on it. anyone feel like motivating me to put up with him?
