Football "comedy"

A few years ago there was a UK TV series that had one episode about a football manager and the relationship with his team - either he had an affair with one of the footballer's wives or vice versa. Can't remember. Anyway - it was really enjoyable and I recommended it to a friend, but cannot remember the name, who was in it etc. I cannot find by googling.

It was a series with the same people in each episode (maybe they actually write it as well) but each episode (I think) was standalone - so there was one about football, and the other ones had different topics.

Does this ring any bells?

All I can think of is Footballer's Wives and Dream Team, but they were both series all about football so probably not what you mean!

No - it was definitely only one of the episodes about football. It was really funny and I am so cross with myself for not remembering enough about it so that it can be identified! Most, if not all, of the action took place in the changing room.

There was an Inside number 9 where a referee was having an affair with a player.

Further to what you said, the whole episode is in the changing rooms.
