Old casualty 80s/90s

I’ve started watching the early series of casualty again, I used to love it as a teen and I’ve gotten properly into it again, I’ve been watching on UKTV Play, although the series available keeps changing which makes it hard to keep up! Just wondering if there’s anyone else who remembers it. I especially loved Josh and Jane the paramedics, Baz and Charlie and Doctor Julian’s affair with Nurse Sandra.

We used to watch Casualty, Blind Date and Gladiators when that was all there was on on Saturday nights and Netflix was a long way off being invented. I still remember a few episodes and characters, mostly Duffy, Charlie and Ash. A girl who had pollution burns after going in the sea and then being locked in her room. A mother who self-harmed with a knife then caught the bus down to Holby City, exhausted from looking after her children. Hunt saboteurs. A teenage girl who was teased for being fat but turned out to be pregnant. An ice skater who deliberately got a car to run over her foot. We used to try and guess the accident when the programme started.

I've been watching the old series since they started airing them last year and I've enjoyed every one. I've been surprised that I've remembered every member of staff so far. Most of the time, it doesn't seem very dated to me.

This was our Saturday night too when I stayed with my Grandparents ❤️ then my Grandad would watch Match of the Day and that would be bedtime!

I used to love old Casualty! I'll have to set a series link. Can't get into the series now
