Very much enjoyed this. Better than Shipwrecked or the Bear Grylls equivalent. The ending of season 2 was excellent.

Thank you for posting! The end of season 2 for me was awful. Blatant misogyny/ ageism. It came down to outrun and not outlast and OF COURSE the young men rather than the old men and a women won. The moment it became a race, it became deeply unfair with an evident outcome. Pissed me off.

I still loved the season though. Such a fascinating (and damning!) insight into humanity

Thought that they were more ruthless in season 1.

I wish they had them there for longer. They do 3 months in Alone. They also seem to build more and hunt way more.

also, I really want to see them enjoying their first meal and a hot shower when they leave.

I thought it strange that they didn't do much hunting, except for a squirrel or two.

In 'Alone' most contestants got down to hunting almost immediately after building their shelters.

I think one even caught a deer (?) and was able to live on it for quite a while, due to the cold weather preserving it. The contestants in 'Outlast' didn't seem to make much effort beyond searching for clams etc., which made a very paltry meal between them all.

I think he even built a smokehouse for his deer.

I much preferred season 1, although I didn't agree that the stunts pulled were right.

But season 2 just had no meat to it. (Literally)

A hunter by profession that hardly did any hunting. It was all just a bit blah for me.

Why weren't they given Crab Pots like in S1? I agree about the unfair ending

I haven’t seen Alone. Where is that on?

It’s on Channel 4, it’s great! They build proper log cabin shelters and hunt loads of rabbits, hares and often large animals like moose or musk ox. They’re also constantly fishing and have gillnets out. They last up to 3 months when it’s like -20C. In this show they just lived under a tarp and ate clams?!

Agree the race at the end is a joke, just makes it a game show rather than a survival show.
