That's it. Plus it's not raining and is looking like it may be better than the other opening ceremony.

It's so lovely to see the excitement of the athletes rather than having them stuck on boats in the distance.

I am glad the weather is better-I also like seeing all the dancing Mascots- didn't see many of them during the Olympics, lots of the plushes here and there, bit not many 'life size' ones .

The dancing volunteers are going to be shattered by the time rhey getnronthe end of the alphabet, they've only just started the c's!

They definitely add to the atmosphere and shows great respect that they are dancing for all of the athletes with the same enthusiasm.

Loving this, really wish the other ceremony had this joy. Those dancing volunteers are fabulous.

They were at each venue but often as a warm up act or meet and greet so probably not televised much.

Best performance I saw on Jools Holland last year.

Very good and professional to work with, according to someone I know.

I think I caught a glimpse at the rowing once or twice, but unlike other games, they didn't really get 'seen' much- and this year the athletes of course didn't get given a mascot with the medals. They seemed to be a lot more visible at other games- though maybe not so much Tokyo (ironic given it was during Covid, and people were in masks).

Did anyone see the volunteer grab a can off the ground? That was quick thinking.

yes I thought he had dropped it! It was a water bottle, he popped it in his back pocket.

That would make more sense, I thought it was an empty beer can!

Really enjoying it.
It just seems to centre the athletes and lacks the pretension of the Olympic ceremony.
