Re-watching Grey’s Anatomy - SPOILERS

I love GA and I am rewatching.

Are there any characters you find annoying as fuck that everyone else loves?

I can’t stand George and Izzie is a total pita. Obviously I love Christina but I’m realising Burke is great in an understated kind of way.

Just needed to get that off my chest 🤣

@OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea my eldest LOVES this show. I spend the whole time going ‘this is like ER’’, ‘ooh they had this storyline in ER’, and ‘did you know in ER they had a surgeon with one arm who was really disliked so they dropped a helicopter on him’.
Cant wait for Ally McBeal to stream so I can show her the actors I’ve been pointing out in Greys, although I imagine it’s not aged well.

I will concede that love Bailey and her no nonsense attitude. She’s the best thing in the show.

Derek is a toxic gaslighting piece of shit. McDreamy my arse. Give me McSteamy any day of the week.

Yes - but ditch the Lexie relationship. Toooo much age gap!

Loved Christina and Mers friendship also Mers and Alex.
April and Jackson grew on me.
Liked Callie and Arizona and mark and Lexie. Like Owen, Tom and Amelia

Hated the Denny storyline especially the ghost/hallucination.
Can't stand Levi, not a fan of Helm.

It went extremely downhill from season 15. As og cast left they needed to invest more in new interns but they failed to do that until the last two seasons which are so much better

Yep didn't like Izzy, I hated that Karev went back to her, Jo was much better for him!

I'm not so sure about Burke, I think he was quite controlling over Cristina.

I actually don't like Meredith that much

Big fan of alex once he got out of the first couple of seasons, callie, and mark

I have been an avid fan since the start, and I've watched it all through about 4 times! At this point, I'm pretty much a surgeon 😉

Cannot stand Meredith. Or Owen, or Derek. I love Christina, Bailey, Burke, Alex, Richard and Callie. Oh, and Addison.

However - whichever season is on currently - I have finally given up on it. I stopped watching after the first few episodes, and I just can't carry on.

The only ones left are shit, and I hate the new ones.

I love April- her character, her looks, her voice, total girl crush 😍

Im not sure if its an unpopular opinion but I cannot stand Derek. He leaves meredith for his wife, calls her a slut and then questions why she won't commit to him. He has a tantrum after he kills a patient (he kills theajority of his patients) and throws her engagement ring away. Basically everything he does is just unpleasant

Also agree hate the izzy/Denny storyline. The hospital should have fired her right from the outset when she started dating a patient.

I love Addison, Christina, Callie, Alex, Lexie, Bailey, Mark. I liked Burkes character and what he provided the show

I think Meredith and her dramas have run their course now & I'd be quite happy if she didn't keep coming back

Love Bailey & ofcourse Ben. I think they're a fab couple
Loved Mark, but I was surprised on my recent rewatch, just how little time he & Lexi were together
Loved Callie & Jackson - he deserved so much better than blooming April
Liked how Alex developed from a crass pain in the arse to a good doctor & good friend to Meredith - but let's not talk about his leaving story 😡

And controversially I actually don't mind Owen AND I like Catherine

Oh & LOVED Cristina

I loved Owen. Couldn’t stand Christina, Izzie George or Callie.
Alex & McSteamy were my faves.
Meredith was meh for me.
Derek was a dick, especially before he died.
really liked April.
her & Jackson together were so good. Glad they ended up back together.

Loved Jo and Karev together. Totally unbelievable that he would give her up for Izzy.

Yeah… but the writers had nothing to play with when the actor left. They couldn’t kill off another of Meredith’s besties 🙂

Always and forever a Cristina stan. Love that they didn’t compromise her character by making her have a baby to keep her husband. She knew she didn’t want to be a mother and didn’t have that awful epiphany where she has a baby anyway and realises motherhood is what she’s been missing all along.

The fact that they didn't even pretend that Meredith would have called Cristina when Derek died.

A Cristina double was at Derek’s funeral; we saw her from the back, next to Meredith.
