I've just been looking around the scores, after Fizzy watching Gigante earlier, and spotted Barbora Krejcikova's opponent in the mixed doubles is called Kaylan Bigun

Shame for Dan, the long match earlier in the week caught up with him.

Daniil and Jannik must be gutted they are drawn to play each other in the QFs, as the two highest seeds and only Grand Slam champions left in the draw.

Shame about Dan, it's the first time he's lost to Alex. Bit ironic that he ended up with a dodgy hip, when the pre-match talk was about AdM's hip! Apparently, Dan was booed in the 4th set and Alex defended him in on-court interview, saying that he's should be respected for playing through the pain to finish the match, when he could have retired in the 3rd set. He may look like Ratatouille but he's a nice bloke.

I saw the scores early morning, felt very sorry for Dan, well done for keeping going- must have been frustrating for him.
It is such an open draw now- and that Daniil and Jannik play each other so early , relatively speaking.
Still a chance for Casper to go all the way- but I think he may struggle against Taylor, he had a tricky match against Shang, though it ended easily enough- and Taylor will have the crowd support (even though Casper is hardly a player they be against, he's too nice ).
I'd almost forgotten Sascha was in it, he seems to have been a lttle under the radar, or maybe it's because the timings of the matches mean I just haven't seen him.
Andrey/Grigor- I'm torn on that one- I just don't want Andrey beating himself up, but I do like to see Grigor doing well.

I love Jasmine Paolini. I can imagine her grinning next to Anna Wintour- does Anna ever smile? can she smile? Her hair never moves. Will Jasmine be getting an invite to the next Met ball?

Just been watching Badosa/Wang- Paula seems to have that one in the bag, but it's never a done deal with women's matches until the last point really . Players have lost from being 5-0 up in the second set before now.

Andrey just whacked his racquet a bit, at least it wasn't his head.

Andrey's injured his hand with his racquet I think. To be honest (and I like Andrey) it is self inflicted, and is now stalling play. It's not 'medical' , as such and I imagine there will be penalities for battering the racquet.

They are good friends though, and I think Grigor will have sympathies for Andrey, but it can't be good for Andrey to keep putting himself through this. (and it's early on in a 5 set match).

I have been flipping between the two matches the last few games, Grigor had gone off the boil a bit.

Can't be easy playing Andrey when he's so up and down.

And yes- maybe Alisha will do a live performance, Jane (beats Sweet bloody Caroline ).
