Ice - I know that Big Foe sweats a lot - not sure if I can face watching him in a room without AC (that's air con not Andrew Castle!!)

So many confusions

So far, Big Foe is not looking too sweaty, but it's no where near as hot as as it was the other day. Having said that, Ben's shirt looks drenched and is sticking too him (it's that odd fabric, that goes a bit wet look).

All that work to break back, and Big Foe is losing his own serve.

I'm torn on this match, as I like both of them. Slightly more on Ben's side, I think. But only slightly. I do like Big Foe.

I used to like Big Foe but I’ve gone off him a bit with some of his recent comments, I’m starting to find him a bit arrogant. Of the Americans I am hoping Taylor does well, followed by Ben. But I want Casper to win the tournament.

Just turned over to see the Rublev scores- there is a fan in the crowd waving a picture of him in one hand, and a picture (possibly) of him as a cat (?) in the other . .

I would LOVE Casper to win - (as I am his biggest fan).

I'd quite like Daniil to do well, I feel like he's almost been forgotten a bit, whilst Carlos and Jannik have been on the rise.

Danill does make me laugh - he told the crowd that they made him feel like he was in an Italian restaurant! I'm not sure if thst was a good thing but he has won here before

I know that Djok is probably playing the system by requesting night matches but at least it means I don't get to see him

Djok should be made to play his next few matches in the heat of the day, like everyone else has to. If he doesn't like it, he's free to retire.

Earlier on, they were talking about why the Tiafoe/Shelton match was not the ' night' match, since its 2 Americans, first time in 20 years 2 top 20 US players have met at the tournament ( Ben was outside the top 20 last year).

The reason given was because they are already thinking ahead to the scheduling of Djok's next match over the weekend ( against the winner of this one) Which- as it's Labor Day weekend- would be prime slot.

Talk about presumptuous.

I hope Popyrin thrashes him.

I see Tsitsidosa have lost in the first round of the mixed doubles. Not a good tournament for Stef!

I don’t really have a preference who I would like to win - would be great for Casper to win his first slam, but I would also be happy for Jannik or Daniil to win. It would also be good if a Brit won it but I know that is very unlikely!

It is very open now with both Djok and Carlos out.

I am still on holiday so haven’t been able to actually watch any of it. Will be home on Tuesday so hopi by to catch some then although probably still won’t see much given the time difference.
