Lamb being cooked properly. Fondant potatoes that aren't hard as a rock. What a strange year.

It looks bloody nippy there. That pork would make some lovely dripping.

Piggywaspushed · 10/09/2024 20:25

There was definitely a winner in Chalkboard Warz.

Halsall · 10/09/2024 20:25

They ought to have had the whole hog on a spit, by rights.

The pork does look good, though.

Yes. And perhaps a goat

TheDogsMother · 10/09/2024 20:25

Would Vikings eat a lentil spelt risotto ?

EsmaCannonball · 10/09/2024 20:26

I've heard that many people in the past had a heavily vegan diet basically because they were poor.

Ohwhatfuckeryitistoride · 10/09/2024 20:27

Broccoli? That pie looks banging.

True Esma. I guess meat was a luxury

GrouchyKiwi · 10/09/2024 20:28

When I did a topic on the history of food with my kids the standard food for poor people in the Middle ages would have been something like salmon with grainy bread.

Tamar serves up a generous plate of food.

Halsall · 10/09/2024 20:28

I’m waiting for someone's description to be 'Wench'.

EsmaCannonball · 10/09/2024 20:28

Adam Watson is a very disappointing Saxon name.

littlbrowndog · 10/09/2024 20:29

Jottuns wrath 🤣

jay55 · 10/09/2024 20:29

The plaice looks flabby

RomainingToBeSeen · 10/09/2024 20:29

For anyone that listens to Kitchen Cabinet, we need Dr Annie Gray here to sort them all out. She's brilliant.

GrouchyKiwi · 10/09/2024 20:30

Awwww poor Vito.

If I were a red-blooded Saxon maiden I would be heading straight for whatever Vito had cooked.

Halsall · 10/09/2024 20:30

It’s custard time baby

GrouchyKiwi · 10/09/2024 20:31

Has Harry made crumble before?

OP posts:
littlbrowndog · 10/09/2024 20:32

Pudding looks good

Ohwhatfuckeryitistoride · 10/09/2024 20:32

That butternut squash reminds me of Blackadders parsnip thingy.
Just a thought, but how many of the overly pedantic reenacters do we reckon are on the spectrum? (I know a few and all of them.are)

Piggywaspushed · 10/09/2024 20:32

Harry has also never made custard.

Allegedly.

littlbrowndog · 10/09/2024 20:33

They certainly have good teeth

Was just thinking that littlbrown!

captainflash · 10/09/2024 20:34

I am a little bit in love with Vito.
