I’m watching season 2 so I’ll try to be oblique and not spoil for anyone yet to watch S1.

I can’t stop watching even though I think the female lead is an awful human-being. She does what she wants and lies constantly, regardless of how much she hurts other people. It’s also funny as hell and very well observed. The frankness works in spite of the sensitive topic area. I love the running visual gag about the square mugs in season 2. There’s so much to love. I wouldn’t have her for my friend, but I can enjoy watching her pinball from one catastrophe to another.

Anyone else watching?

Late reply but yes, I'm watching.

It's not quite as good as series one but still very good. I agree that the lead character is incredibly selfish, but you can't help but like her. Just finished episode 4 and expect to finish the whole thing tonight.

I enjoyed this too. It wouldn’t inspire faith in fertility clinics. The lead lies & lies.

I liked both series. The first couple of episodes of s2 especially amusing. Yes, she's a complicated character and makes poor decisions but just like I Hate Suzie, Am I Being Unreasonable and other similar comedies, the female lead doesn't have to be likeable. Male characters aren't judged on being likeable. You can enjoy it whilst disapproving of some actions.

It was fab to see Lars Mikkelsen again (Freddie). He’s aged a bit since The Killing (haven’t we all?) but he’s still got it. 👌

Troels!

I was so obsessed with him and his cheekbones in 'The Killing'. Utterly mesmerised.

Mikael Birkkjaer who was in Season Two and played Birgitte's husband in 'Borgen' is also in this. I fancied him too! I reckon there are only about 7 actors in Denmark so they all keep showing up in every Danish series!

I've finished series two.

I thought the first few episodes were funny but it kind of descended into melodrama after that. They definitely left it open for a 3rd series, but I'm not sure what's left? The original premise was the weird and deceptive way that Nana got pregnant, but that's out in the open now. So a series 3 would basically be a soap opera.

What’s left? Um, the whale pants should be a clue. Plus Troels.

Not sure what you mean by 'whale pants'. As for Troels, that side of the story doesn't really interest me. The original premise was Nana's bizarre pregnancy, but that storyline has been exhausted, so all that's left is basically more of the same family drama, and I think they've probably taken that as far as they should go.
