What was this crime drama called?

This is a really long shot but if anyone will get it, it's you guys! I'm really into crime dramas and I remember watching a really good one with my mum several years ago but can't remember what it was called (or much about it tbh!)

It was around 2010, it had several episodes - maybe 3 or 4. It was about a female who was kept captive in a house with a male. She was told that men in white vans were spying on her and monitoring her so she couldn't leave the house. I also think there was something to do with a basement or a trap door with a rug that covered it? It would have been on one of the mainstream UK channels so BBC or ITV probably.

Does this ring any bells for anyone or does anyone know what it was called?

There was Hostages with Toni Collette, but that was a full US series

Definitely not American. But this sounds good too! Will look at Hidden now thanks and see if that's it. ☺️

I do remember this. Was set in wales, think the captors ended up getting killed at the end? Hadn’t they been paid to do it by someone else? I think it’s more recent than 2010

Hidden was set in Wales and was brilliant. I don't think that is the one you are referring to though. Hidden was one girl being held in a house in the middle of the woods after his previous captor escaped and died. He took a new girl to replace the one that had got away. But there was definitely nothing about men in white vans watching her or anything like that.

Probably inot this if you are sure it was 2010 as this is more recent but a wife, husband and their daughter held captive in a house. Juliet Stevenson is the wife

Could it be Marian, Again? It was earlier, around 2006/2007 but the plot was about a woman held captive for years. If you Google it there’s a wikipedia entry on it.

That's how I felt! And that's why it's in my head! Do people like it or not? I haven't had time to rewatch it yet but have never been able to find it since it first aired! And has never been re-aired or on catch up etc.

I had never heard anyone talk about it at the time or since! So was starting to wonder if it was a dream. Especially when I asked my mum (I remember watching it with her when I used to live at home) and she had no idea what I was talking about! 🤣
