Anyone watching The Boys on Prime?

I'm a complete cowardy custard when it comes to gore. Never watch horror but do love a true crime documentary/podcast. I really want to binge The Boys while I've got a few days alone but will I need a fine weave blanket to watch it through? Should I have my finger permanently on the Fast Forward button or is it easy to see when the gore is coming? I have a feeling it's so good I need to get past the gore...any watchers out there that can confirm or deny?

There is lots of gore and unfortunately there is often zero notice so just be mentally prepared! It’s quite fun though once you’ve been desensitised to the gore.

I don't think the gore is that bad a lot of the time it's played for comedic value, but yeah probably need something to hide behind right from the very beginning It is so so good it's well worth watching! Season 5 is going to be the last season but you also have Gen V season 2 and Becoming Voight coming out too.

Sorry to say this OP, but The Boys is absolutely, categorically the last programme you should be watching if you're squeamish. My husband and I are pretty hardened to most TV shows with "adult" content, but The Boys has us wincing quite often. Still well worth it, though!

@BloodandGlitter your name made me laugh. OK I've found a lovely scarf I'm going to drape my head in before I press play <right from the beginning> hint taken. And I'm not going to put on my driving glasses so the TV remains a little bit blurry. Sounds like I'll just get finger cramp being permanently poised @Alphyn so will have to rely on my other gore filters instead. My son told me a bit of the plot, my cousins have been on about it to me so I think I ought to give it a try.

It’s one of the grossest things we’ve ever watched (I seem to remember series 1 being quite tame by comparison to what comes later) but despite that we still enjoy it!

I loved all my the latest series. It has got absolutely ridiculous and gross!

The Boys is well worth a watch. You just need to pull yourself together and watch it.
