Apparently this is being filmed this year (as there were strikes last year) and will be out in 2025. I’m conscious that it’s been running for quite a long time now. I wonder if they will cover what happens when Handmaids are no longer fertile. The actress Handmaids in the first series would now be in their late thirties / early forties.

I wonder if well behaved Handmaids, which probably means the ones who produced the most kids, might become Marthas. And the others would probably be sent to the colonies?

Yes. Or maybe the really compliant ones may become Aunts? The older Handmaids will still know how to read and write.

So this should be out sometime this Spring.

I will watch but only as I've seen it through this far, the last season or so definitely lots the plot a bit for me! Hope to see her reunited with Hannah.

I never managed to catch season 5 anyone know where it can be watched?

I seem to remember in the book handmaids who failed to have children were sent to the colonies so I suppose the others who were too old could become Martha's, econowives ot aunts.

This is the last series (although I understand that Ann Dowd is signed up for The Testaments). It will be interesting to see how they wrap this up.

Are they? I've seen no announcement from Channel 4 about a date, just that they will be showing it. I'll be really pleased if it's tomorrow.

Yes, this is the last one. I think they are now making The Testaments (much later sequel to the Handmaid's Tale).
