Calling all Buffy Fans!

I've just heard that there is another Buffy rewatch podcast coming but this time it is being presented by Juliet Landau - aka Drusilla!

I've listed to Buffering (took itself way too seriously and I always had to fast forward their songs/jingles but had great cast interviews) and am still sticking with The Rewatcher even though they frequently get basic facts wrong! I tried Boys Watching Buffy but couldn't get along with it as I felt they missed a lot of the nuances that come with watching a show with a strong female lead when you are a teenage girl, as many of us once were!

I'm hoping that this new podcast "Slaying It" will bring a new insight, coming from a cast member as similar podcasts like Fake Doctors Real Friends (Scrubs) and The West Wing Weekly (West Wing) are two of my favourite tv themed podcasts.

I was excited for this, but felt there were too many tangents and weird clips from other shows thrown in...I'll persevere. I like Rewatcher because it's something fun for a Monday morning, but if you want an in depth look try Still Pretty.

I am a Buffy fan but I don't understand how this works. Do I watch an episode then listen to a podcast? Do I listen to the podcast at the same time, like a commentary? Is it weekly?

Interested but need help as an elder millennial!

Can't help with podcasts and such (old) but saw it the first time round and have just finished a rewatch. Great to hear that the Buffy love lives on still!

ETA my nearly 80 year old DH was in for the rewatch and thought it was one of the best things he's ever seen. I didn't even have to go gameface!

It's entirely up to you. You can listen without watching or if you want to refresh your memory you can watch the relevant episode before you listen. It's not a commentary though so you don't need to watch and listen at the same time.

I'm watching along with Rewatcher at the moment - we're coming up on The Body so I'm having to steel myself 😥

I haven't managed to listen to the first proper episode yet. I've been listening to their little lead up episodes which have been ok but hoping they hit more of a stride as they go on. Hoping for more cast interviews too!
