I seem to have dreamed a programme earlier this week about a couple adopting twins from USA?
I’ve looked on demand and catch up but at a loss.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to find it please?

Hiya . . . I think the programme you're looking for was called "The Baby Scandal that shocked the world" . . . it was on Channel 5 at 21.00 on Tuesday

Yes I started watching it but had to go to bed!
I missed the ending but what I saw was certainly draw dropping.

It was mental! None of them covered themselves in glory! The American couple I warmed to more but as the programme progressed i only liked the wife. She was screwed over . The UK couple wife was awful. The twins mum came across as an odd woman aswell!

I watched that. Those poor babies, shunted from pillar to post. Didn't mind the US couple as much (well the woman was ok) but the British woman was genuinely unhinged - really mouthy and rough. The bio mum seemed to chop and change her wishes. I was glad to hear that there was a happy outcome for the twins.

Pretty much what I wanted to say. I felt really sorry for the twin girls being pushed from pillar to post, but fortunately it looks like they were put with the best family in the end (before they got too old to start being affected by what was going on.) About 4 I think they were when the British foster family (who the courts sent them to,) fostered them and then adopted them shortly after.

As you said, the British woman was genuinely unhinged, and really rough, and common, and gobby, and actually quite vile. The blonde American woman seemed okay, but there was something about her that I couldn't put my finger on, that would make me not want to leave a child in her care. Then it emerged she'd been to prison for multiple frauds and thefts some years ago. And then her husband got sent to prison for assaulting 2 girls aged 13 and 14! (AFTER they had purchased the twin girls!)

Neither of these couples were remotely suitable. The British couple already had 4 kids too, why did they need to 'buy' 2 babies on top of that? When the woman was asked this, she didn't answer really. She just got arsey and snarky and basically said she can have as many kids as she wants!

The birth mum (whilst I felt for her to start with, as she was so young and the babydaddy left her,) turned out to be a bit of a disgrace as well. She took the babies to some agency, and farmed them out. (Don't know if she got any money for it. She said she didn't, but I don't believe her, as the American couple paid £7K for the babies.) And then when the American couple 'bought' the twins, she went to see the twins for the last time, and then took them for a walk, and never took them back.

Then they ended up in the arms of the British couple. who also forked out money. £12K actually!. I was a bit confused as to how all of this happened. Did the birth mum let the British couple have them instead of the American couple, after the American couple had paid for the babies? Or did the agency decide to take them away, and get the birth mother to get the babies to give to the British couple? It was very weird and disturbing tale, and I am glad the courts took the twins off the British couple too.

As you said, I am glad the twin girls found a good, suitable home, (with the new parents assigned by the courts,) and were rid of the American couple, and the British couple, and the birth mum. None of them deserved these 2 babies.

Here is the link if anyone is interested. It's a very interesting and compelling watch.

I watched it a while ago on Amazon prime. I think it was a 2/3 parter

Yeah I can believe that. It was 2 hours long. I did record it though and I watched part of it this morning and part of it tonight.
