I am in the middle of watching Weeds on freevee
Got to the end of the episode
And now it's not letting me watch it anymore?!
Can anyone help

Do they actually track what you watch and then do it on purpose???

Now to watch Weeds I have to pay for prime AND MGM!!!

Oh noo, I am also following this, think I am on Season 3. How annoying! The sneaky gits could have given a warning.

I have Prime, but not MGM. If I want to finish Weeds I will just have to pay for a month or two of MGM I suppose, and go through it quicker.

It is a bit much if you don't already have Prime though, I agree.

Also it is so greedy of them that for the privilege of paying for an Amazon 'channel' you have to first be a Prime customer. It's like double bubble for them. Why can't the channels be charged as a separate thing?

You may be able to subscribe to MGM and bypass Amazon, sometimes these channels are just though Prime for ease if you already have it.

I can't find it in the UK to have mgm on its own without prime?

I don't think you can, sadly. I checked on Justwatch. Some of these streaming services/channels are only available through Prime, some you can also get independently. And some are only stand alone. Still I paid for a year of Paramount plus stand alone last year and I wish I hadn't, the app is RUBBISH, buffering all the time, I wish I'd just gone through Amazon.

Weeds used to be on the Channel 4 app too, up until a few months ago. . Free! Should have watched it when it first came out I guess!

Oh, that's not good, that it's not available independently. Is there still a free month of Prime, maybe get that, take advantage of Prime day in July, and watch Weeds really quickly, how much is there to still watch, could it be done in a month's subscription to MGM using the free Prime month.

Annoyingly, there is a button on the Amazon website saying Prime members can get MGM at 99p a month for 3 months. But when you click through that doesn't seem to be actually available, it's the full price (£4.49 a month I think, on top of Prime). Get your website sorted, Amazon!

I think I will have to put Weeds on hiatus for now, and watch another comedy. Until another subscription comes up, or Weeds pops up on another platform. I have plenty of other stuff to watch. Just would have made sure I'd finished the season first, if I'd have known.

If you change your location to the United States on the Amazon website and then use any VPN to change your location to the USA, you can still watch Weeds for free. It seems it's only the UK that has lost it.
