Heard today that Maria in Coronation Street is going have a stillbirth.

As one that as been through it I hope they cover this in the right way

Not sure I can cope with another bereavement story - the one on Emmerdale had me weeping buckets. I must agree that I hope they handle it sympathetically.

When is this meant to happen? I didn't think she was that far gone! Mind you, in tellyland their only preggers for 5 months

she's about 5 months isn't she? apparently the baby stops kicking so she goes to the hospital where she has to be induced maria tells liam their marriage is over and instead of fighting for her guess where he ends up ... yep you got it carla's bed.

aww that will be sad, i love maria in corrie. she is so stunning.

Just caught the end of the episode. Couldn't understand what was going on as I've not seen Corrie for ages.

Poor Maria had a still birth , don't know how you could go through with it without telling dh though, even if you'd had a stupid row. Oh and isn't Marcus lovely!!

agree, Liam should have been there. he should have been given the chance to grieve too. watched it with ds on my lap (he's 3 today) and i cried and hugged him tighter than I ever have.

I think that unless it clearly says in the thread title "NO SPOILERS" then it is safe to assume that there will be spoilers inside the thread.

If I didn't want to know what was coming up, there is no way I would click on a thread like this.

Also, I don't think NA can be blamed for giving away a spoiler, when the rest of the thread was already speculating about the storyline...

I thought the thread was talking about Maria's still birth which we already knew about from the last episode. It was the bit after I didn't know.

look at the dates, though, NAB - when she posted that, we didn't know anything!

Anyway, it might not be true. I heard that he was going to end up sleeping with Carla instead of marrying Maria and that certainly didn't happen.

Anyway, isn't Maria horrible for not telling Liam what is going on? He should have a right to grieve for his baby as well...

Maria is clearly messed up but there is history with Liam and Carla, even before Paul died so you can't blame her.

Look at us getting so involved in "it's not real, you know" as my hubby would say!
