Regarding Sean and everyone else maybe they aren't allowed to talk normally on camera and only say the silly phrases and lines the producers expect them to say!!

As thread says awful pathetic mess 🙄

Both Joey and Jess were excruciating on those dates.

Joey leaning across the table practically drooling, being all “you’re trouble aren’t you” when Jessy was barely saying anything.

Jess and “I’m the prize!”

Criiiiinge

Nicole is going to ruin it for herself because of her low self esteem, it’s so hard to watch as you just know where it’s ending up!

Ronnie shovelling food in and talking with his mouth full 🤢

Edited

Your right about Jess I'm the prize rubbish. She's trying to coin the phrase like Georgia steel saying 'im loyal'

ageratum1 · 27/06/2024 05:19

I find Jess a quite terrifying! I am sure she raised the boys' heart rates put of fear not just!

Picoloangel · 27/06/2024 07:29

Joey is just awful. I do feel that Grace is getting some karma because of her smirking when Joey moved on from Samantha.

I can’t believe how they overreact to the heart rate game - also can’t believe how demeaning it is for the women; the boys are all just dressed in comedy costumes but the girls are dressed more like lap dancers - anyway, I digress - many things impact on heart rate and it may not be indicative of arousal as much as nerves etc.

Nicole is just insecure to an insane degree. I feel quite sorry for Cieran. It’s such a lot to take on for someone as young as he is. I agree that some of what was directed at Harriet was displaced frustration and anger but whilst I like her I can see why he thought she’d been two faced. I’ll also be interested to see if there were actual tears…

Jess is so full of schadenfreude I’m amazed she has took for annything else. I think she’s stunning but she’s not a good or nice person. “I tell it like it is” nope, you’re just rude, tactless and insensitive.

Liked that Ayo finally had something to feel slightly insecure about. He’s had an easy ride!

BackForAnotherBite · 27/06/2024 08:22

There is something about Uma that reminds me of Hannah Waddingham - her mannerisms and just a way she has about her.

Jess thinks she is hilarious and a 'take me or leave me' type but it comes across as very obnoxious and mean. There is very little softness. The sort of person who says 'you will either love me or hate me, I am marmite me'.

I think the new girl, has quite a cool vibe and that is her major attraction - a sophistication that some of the others lack. She is not trying too hard and that is attractive. Naturally very pretty as well - normal teeth, no obvious cosmetic work, natural body. I think she would be well matched with Konner as he has the same sort of vibe.

Nicole is getting worse each episode - Kieran is already walking on eggshells around her, it doesn't bode well.

feelingalittlehorse · 27/06/2024 08:50

Why are none of the girls interested in Konnor?!? Have they lost their minds? He seems very quiet and normal and he’s bloody hot! I consider myself completely bemused.

Couldn't agree more! All the girls scrapping over Ronnie & Joey like seagulls over a discarded bag of chips and meanwhile Konnor sits there single. It's MADNESS.

Just caught up, excellent episode for low-key drama.

  • Joey's a boss level twat
  • But I don't mind that Grace is on the receiving end of it. She should have known better than going back.
  • Nicole's neediness is going to scare him off. Imagine what she'll be like during Casa Amor.
  • Harriet needed bringing down a peg I think. Making her cry might have been too much but he didn't say anything that's not true.
  • I've gone right off Jess, but in her defence I believe Trey said he likes 'nice' boobs and lips, not 'big' so her ticks were (subjectively) valid.
Pigeonqueen · 27/06/2024 09:17

Nicole is getting into bunny boiler territory. Far too much, too intense. This stage of a relationship, at such young ages particularly, is meant to be full on fun, passion, excitement. He will get fed up if she carries on.

sweetpickle2 · 27/06/2024 09:24

I feel for Nicole- at 24 I was deeply insecure and not sure of myself, I can see how it manifests as paranoia and jealousy and 'tests' for Ciaran. Not saying I'd have done it or that it's okay, but I don't judge her too harshly. They're all so young!

FakeMiddleton · 27/06/2024 09:41

I too have sympathy for Nicole, but she needs to try to bite her tongue.

That said, Ciaran...SHUT THE FUCK UP. Just don't admit stuff in a game as much and sure as shit stop giving unnecessary details about your prior sex life. Jesus, mate. Do yourself a favour.

Catlord · 27/06/2024 09:46

I really dislike the heart rate
Challenge as it's misleading. It allows the ones that don't understand to believe that increased heart rate is only caused by arousal in this circumstance when it isn't. Ronnie was probably startled at being spoken to unexpectedly for instance, Ciaran was being physically whipped etc. Fair enough to openly cause drama with questions and dares etc but not based on bad science when at least some of them take it literally (Nicole). It's a bit too Jeremy Kyle lie detector.

Jess still trying to make 'im the prize' happen.

Hope grace quickly smooths things over with Konnor and forgets joey after that shit with the new girl!

MargoLivebetter · 27/06/2024 09:59

I'm getting more ruthless vibes from this bunch of Love Islanders. I think it is all eyes on the prize with this lot (and I don't mean Jess 😂). Or maybe it is because they are a bit older.

Do we know if Joey Essex is doing this for free, or if he is being paid? I can't help but feel his actions are all pre-determined by the producers to stir the pot.

Rollergirl11 · 27/06/2024 10:08

I liked the way Grace held herself during her conversation with Joey refusing to allow him to gaslight her. When he tried to convince her that him getting territorial over Omar and Konnor was somehow different to her having an issue with him getting to know the new girl. Then when he said that nothing has changed and she quite rightly replied with everything has changed. He just wants to be able to do what he wants but Grace still being closed off to all the other guys. Why are men such divkeads!

Jess is vindictive and bitter and it makes her a really ugly person. Her laughing at everyone else’s discomfort and constantly making snide comments is deeply unattractive. However she’s not wrong in that if you’re going to dish it then you need to be able to take it.

Harriet was trying to belittle Ciaran by saying he was immature and embarrassing and laughing at him. Is he not allowed to bite back? I think he reacted how anyone would when someone is trying to put you down like that. I was quite bemused by Matilda in that exchange though. She was laughing and was the one that made Ciaron repeat what he said but in the next breath jumped up to take Harriet away when she was crying.

Nicole is pushing Ciaran away with her insecurities. He has repeatedly told her that they there is no one else in there for him. They seem able to resolve their little squabbles fairly quickly once they’ve had a chat and he is able to put her mind at rest. But you can tell it is all taking its toll on Ciaron. Nicole needs to get better at not overreacting disproportionately to every little thing. I would say that she’s probably not in the best place for a relationship at the moment and needs to do a bit of work on herself. She is clearly carrying past relationship trauma and she needs to heal from this before looking for anything else.

Sweetenuf · 27/06/2024 10:17

I like both Nicole and Ciaran but I agree they won’t last on the outside if she continues like this. She really does need to address her self-esteem issues, seems her previous ex did a number on her with cheating. Even if she had poor self esteem before that, it would have made it worse.

I hope Ciaran only apologises to Harriet if she apologises to him too. I don’t want her to come out the innocent victim, he needs to stand his ground.

I have to say I do miss the girls from Amber/Molly Mae’s season. They were so outspoken and bold and weren’t constantly crying. Maura, Anna, Yewande, Belle..just to name a few more from that season that would have stood their ground instead of just rushing off and crying because they lost a war of words and are looking a bit silly . Harriet does need someone to point out she’s second choice as well, it’s embarrassing how she’s just hoovering up Ronnies crumbs so gratefully. I think she’s been in denial but Ciarans words are a reminder that she is at best Ronnie’s second choice. If she didn’t believe that deep down, she wouldn’t have reacted like that.

Catlord · 27/06/2024 10:30

I didn't entirely follow the clash with Ciaran and Harriet but maybe he went too far and with the wrong person? I can understand it's frustrating being called immature when he's managing Nicole's insecurities and treading on eggshells but it was a low blow and a bit more personal after he was one of the ones who didn't choose Harriet. I was surprised at Matilda.

FakeMiddleton · 27/06/2024 10:30

@Rollergirl11 - I interpreted Matilda asking Ciaran to repeat himself not to hurt Harriet but to hold Ciaran accountable

That's maybe it, she seems decent. She was just grinning as she said it

Yes you very may well be right but it still just seemed a little off given that she was laughing. I was surprised as she does seem like a girls girl.

Ciaran was reluctant to say it again which suggests that he instantly regretted it but there was so much noise from everyone else that he was forced to repeat it.

usernother · 27/06/2024 11:03

Jess is coming across as desperate to me. When she was talking to that new man he was correct when he said she was bad at flirting.

Yet Jess probably thinks she’s really good at it. 😂 It was all very obvious and a bit “nudge nudge wink wink say no more” kind of vibe. Quite jarring to watch.

BlackStrayCat · 27/06/2024 11:24

Jess is my least favourite girl ever on LI. I find her so revolting.

I actually quite like Harriet now.
Went off Grace but she was good last night. Good for her.
Ronnie is just utterly brain dead and unaware he needs food, sex and sleep. That is it. Basic caveman requirements.
Joey was trying to make Grace jealous and it backfired massively. He felt he had lost control, because he had, in every way possible.
Nicole is totally losing the game for her and Ceiron and she is a self fulfilling prophecy. He will (and already is) sick of her.

Looking forward to tonight!

Mozziesallaround · 27/06/2024 12:10

Jess is so awful!
I think Harriet is ok, just a bit silly 😂
I like Grace too, I don’t get some of the hate for her
I thought Ronnie was quite nice at first, now I’m wondering what I was thinking
Konnor seems very normal and not taking any of this seriously

CellophaneFlower · 27/06/2024 12:37

I've done a u-turn on Grace too. I think she said quite a lot about her and Joey's history last night that was quite revealing.

It's clear now that they weren't together when they went in and sounds more like he let things fizzle out. I think it was said originally that he tried to contact her but she didn't respond, so I'd assumed it was him that was more keen. Makes more sense now as I'm guessing the stuff with Omar was to get a reaction out of him as he'd never 'fought' for her before. I hope she sees him for the dickhead he is soon. Totally believes his own hype that one.

CellophaneFlower · 27/06/2024 12:39

Oh and Grace saying to the others that she's glad they're there to witness it sounds like he was gaslighting her previously.

kerstina · 27/06/2024 13:13

I don’t think Joey was intentionally trying to make Grace jealous I think he was attracted to the new girl. Hopefully this will give Grace the insight that what they have wasn’t quite so special and Joey will always be looking for the next fix and this is how he would what he would be on the outside .

He’s being paid quite a bit more I think. Samantha did an interview after and said he’s got some sort of different rules that apply to him like what he can do or talk about I think
